Yeah they’re awesome Magnus Karlsson Tom Naumann and Alex Beyrodt are great guitarists both Stefan Leibing and Henny Wolter were great too it’s sad that Stefan retired from music after he left the band in 2008 he left because he wanted to spend more time with his family and business but family comes first I respect his decision to leave the band since 2016 he plays guitar again for himself Magnus Karlsson is great too but I miss Stefan Henny Tom and Stefan were a great guitar duo same as Magnus Tom and Alex in Primal Fear too
Primal Fear is what you get if Judas Priest and Accept had a baby. Which is ironic because Ralf Scheepers, Primal Fear's vocalist auditioned for Priest in the mid 90s after Rob Halford left after the Painkiller Tour. He didn't get the job obviously, which ended up going to Tim "Ripper" Owens, which then went on to sing for Iced Earth in 2004, but Ralf didn't let that get him down, so he started his own band, Primal Fear, to do Judas Priest like music. The first several Primal Fear albums could have easily been Priest albums. Especially the first four. After that, they started getting into their own style a bit more. But the Priest influence was still there for sure. I've got all their studio albums. Been my favorite power metal band since 2005 when I first discovered them. They had been out since like 1998 or so if I recall. They came out around the same time HammerFall debuted, if I'm not mistaken. (I'm going by memory here without looking it up, so don't quote me on this.)
This is a great first pick for Primal Fear. Catchy, direct and a good showcase of Ralf's incredible range. Also, I would recommend checking out Gamma Ray; it's one of the Power Metal greats, and it was fronted by Ralf (in its original line up). It was founded by Kai Hansen when he left Helloween, so you could say it is to Helloween what Megadeth is to Metallica. Anyway, I'm fairly sure you would love them! Highlights: Rebellion in Dreamland, Last Before the Storm, Armageddon.

Primal Fear is great. One of the most underrateds metal bands. I love the song "Iron Fist in a Velvet Glove".
Man, Ralf's voice is outstanding. I remember the first song I heard from them was "Metal is Forever". Such a power blast.
My favorite band. Saw them in Dallas and met the singer Ralf. We chatted for about 20 minutes. Really great guy.
