Alameda Triangle Draft Remedial Action Plan (RAP) Community Meeting - May 29, 2024

DTSC hosted a community meeting to provide information and to accept public comments for the draft Remedial Action Plan (RAP) for the Alameda Triangle Site (Site), located in Lynwood, California. The draft RAP is the name for a cleanup plan which will be implemented to manage contaminated soil and soil vapor found beneath the Site. After contaminated shallow soil is excavated and removed from the Site, soil vapor will be evaluated for volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Based on the soil vapor results, a Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System (VIMS) may be incorporated into the new building construction plan. The draft RAP provides background information pertaining to the Site; summarizes soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations; presents cleanup alternatives; and describes the proposed selected cleanup plan which best supports the protection of human health and the environment.
