I never saw this before in my life. I notice they have the old uniforms on. I remember seeing " Bill Groll " skate in person in Chicago at the UIC Pavillion.
The red uniforms were used by The California Red Devils of the United Banked Track Roller Training Association in 1975. Your mileage may vary, but the existing footage from that league is some of my favorite action.
It must have been during the Era of Disco. Because you look at those satin clothes the Slammers had on and hear the Music of the " Star Wars " Movie, that was the Era of Disco.
😆Ha,ha,ha! They have a color camera and then switch to like a black and white security camera for some reason. In the past, commentators used to say " If you missed any of the action. That was the reason to come out and see it in person. "

I love it. Where is this at. I lived for ROLLER DERBY IN 1970.

These games were skated at the Joan Weston Roller Derby Training Center in Hayward, Ca in the mid 80's.
@@KenP478854 wow Ken. I loved Roller Derby from the 70's.
It was great then
I recognize the old Midwest Pioneers Uniforms; don't recognize the other.

They have a Woman Reff out there. Which is mighty unusual. Especially for the 70's if indeed that is when this happened. A true rarity.
Joan Lynn Highland, " The Only Female Official." Must be Irish. I almost Married an Irish Woman.
I also have a game from this league
Thank the crew for their lousy camera matching.
