Just got mine. I like it, it's smoother to turn, now. I use the QD connector hole on the foot as one attachment point and use the other attachment point on the end of the foot as the second attachment point to attach a sling. If I want to mount the lens on a tripod, I just de-tach the QD connector and I'm good to go. BTW the QD connection is solid, no worries about dropping the camera and lens. And it just got a lot easier to carry the camera and lens now. This or the original collar will not click when adjusting because the lens does not have any stopping points built on to the lens body. To me this is not a deal breaker. This purchase has definitely upgraded the lens. Thanks for the recommendation.

For me ,now it's much easier to mount on tripods and yes it's solid.
