That applause sound was very loud. I really liked that you explain everything in detail.

The applause was supposed to be people clapping from a concert hall. But you're right, it was very loud. 😁

Yaaay! So cool😂 I think, with DAC built-in microcontroller, can make more precise pitch.

Interesting! Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into it.

For this to sound like a major scale you would need different resistors for the connection between the 3rd and 4th buttons and the 7th and 8th buttons.

Using trimmer resistors (small potentiometers) might be beneficial, so you could tune the resistance between the keys with the help of a tuning aid (tuning fork, frequency app on your phone, whatever) to get the correct tones.
You could probably also redesign the part of the circuit where you have the 5k resistor at the end of the chain -- put in another resistor in parallel to the 5k with a button/switch to open or close the parallel part of the circuit, and you may be able to shift the keys up/down an octave. Not sure of the resistance needed here (would have to break out a calculator).

You lost me by not playing a tune.

I did play a tune. I played it after setting up the circuit.
