i just graduated from harvard law school and am studying for the bar exam. lately, ive been feeling really stressed out by the thought of failing and how that would be perceived. watching your videos on your channel brought me back to what makes me happy and feel grounded: nature. it also made me realize that while there's merit to chasing dreams you want to achieve, there's more to life than being afraid of failure, what others might think and that it is okay to change what you used to think success was. thank you for your perspective.

I hope you do well. I hope you find compassion and listening ears when you practice. I hope you facilitate choice. I’ll be wishing you find clients that treat you well and a happy balance in all of your days. If you’re learning through it… how could anyone else be the boss of telling you what you need? We all got to life with the same understanding no? Anyways, food for thought from a random scroller. Congratulations on all the life trophies you’ve found so far. Dust em off *proverbially speaking* when the next is difficult to try for. You define what’s valuable to you. I think people matter so that’s one in your corner. If you count me that’s two before you even passed. Good luck with the Bar exam.

Goobie is a MIT graduate. Specializing in Neurology Spine surgery. After nine years of school and time working spine surgery, it dawned on him that it wasn't for him. So in the interim, he wound up living in the mountains. Making videos with his dog Doobie. Anyway here you are watching one of his videos hoping it helps your situation. Have a good day.

This is wonderful, calming, relaxing, and beautiful.
I lost my husband to cancer just before he was ready to retire, I was totally devastated. Devastated. That’s been six years ago. At first. I didn’t know what I was going to do because I was so lost. Not lost from God, but lost from my partner being absent .
Today I’m in a better place because I’m debt-free, I can do whatever I want when I want, I’m now retired and I enjoy my dogs and life. I’ll sit out on my back deck and I’ll watch the birds in the feeder and the birds taking a bath in the birdbath. I’ll listen to all the birds. I will play this type of music right here and to bring even more wonderful birds and just sit in my swing chair and enjoy it. I’m getting ready to travel.
While our two children were growing up, we enjoyed waverunners and times at the beach and the lake boat RV traveling all over our state and all over other states camping every weekend. Plus my husband and my son are musicians and my husband would coach basketball in football baseball as my kids played sports. Always on the go always something to do something to see. Can’t sit still. My husband did this all while he suffered severe outdoor allergies! Because he was determined to have good memories with his wife and children, so we all worked together and made like good.
Now I have no debt and I’m have no payments other than utilities and food and vehicle insurance and homeowners insurance which all come out of my Social Security and pension. And I’m ready to go and we were all going to do when my husband retired and that is travel and so I’m doing that in his memory also. I do have an adult son that’s here with me. He’s not married and has no children. But he’s an outstanding musician and it’s time for us to go and do what we were all going to do and we can all do now because my husband passed away from cancer, but we’re still gonna go out for the dream and enjoy life just as he would want us to😌
I play these types of videos that play nonstop for like eight hours. There’s some that I play to bring more birds into my backyard when I’m home in summer just for enjoyment that play in the background while I’m reading a book.
I’ve changed a lot of my diet to plant base, but I do still have chicken and some beef at least once a week. I’m also on a protein powder and a plant-based, because I tested low for protein and that prompted me to change my diet. When I’m out traveling, I bike ride I walk and get plenty of exercise. When I am home, I have been an elliptical machine that I use.
I also have pug dogs. Beautiful pug dogs😊
🙏❤️ thank you for these wonderful videos they bring happiness, comfort, and peace to my life😊
If you ever get a chance to visit the state of Michigan, visit the upper peninsula, lake superior! It’s very beautiful there. There’s many beautiful agates in Petoskey stones to be found on the beach line. I will add that the best time to go that far up in Michigan near the border of Canada is The middle of July to the middle of August. It’s the warmest time of the year during this time period.
To listen and see the beautiful bonbon Falls and all the different waterfalls that are throughout the upper peninsula and the wildlife is just amazing. It is so peaceful. It’s just like in this video in someways.😊

@@linden5576 I lost my husband 2:years ago. We don't have children. It takes time to let go and live my present life. I took off alone last summer and decided to drive toward north Seattle area. I took time to drive but it was an adventure for me. The total distance is 2750 miles from DC. I arrived in Omaha, Nebraska where I decided to take rest for two days. Without knowing anyone along the journey was good but also lonely. I had donated everything because the Moving cost was almost equal to my entire household value. I met some kind people and some bad people. The journey taught me a great lesson. Wherever I am, I can be happy or unhappy. I decided to love myself and be kind toward myself. All others are too busy loving themselves. I won't wait for someone to make me happy because life is too short for that. "Do what you like and enjoy what you do. ".

Last July I couldn’t deal with things here around me so I donated everything except my personal stuffs and one morning left Maryland toward West. My destination was north Seattle. I wanted to live not far from mountains. Although I had to turn around from Omaha back to Maryland, I learned valuable lessons in my life. If I set my mind, there is nothing impossible. I have displayed the map I had used for the journey on my wall to remind me that I can live my life the way I want if I am not afraid. We all can change and make our lives happier and healthier if we believe we can.

MD's are basically taught to be drug pushers. Pharma are the most dangerous drug cartels on the planet. They've killed way more than any illegal drug cartels. They are not science based; they are fraud, greed and corruption based. Toxic drugs provide temporary symptomatic relief at great cost to the patient and great profit for the drug industry. They killed my mother with Celebrex and practically killed me with benzos. Look at the work of people like Dr. Steven Gundry. They help people mostly with diet.

Saw your video and it really struck a cord with me. I'm 22, and I recently had to get the none intrusive surgery on my L5S1 that you were talking about. The two months leading up to the surgery I couldn't walk or sleep because of it. The pain had been bothering me for a year and wasnt even seen as a real issue until I got an x ray. The surgery went really well and helped get me to the point where i can walk again. Now thanks to you, I'm gonna work on the leaking roof next. Thanks Doc- glad you found your peace. I'm a PhD student in clinical psychology and your viral video resonated with me so much. I fear psychologists are stuck in the same flawed system, where we are slapping on a bandaid of CBT etc instead of addressing the underlying societal problem of basic unmet needs from a biopsychosocial POV. But radical honesty like yours gives me hope. I've also been looking for nature videos exactly like the ones you post but hadn't found the perfect ones until yours. I'm from a small town but training in a major city and miss the wilderness constantly. As soon as I turned this on at my desk, my shoulders relaxed and i started taking slow, deep breaths as I settled into a more peaceful state. You are absolutely relieving suffering by sharing your videos. Thank you for these, and for leading by example.

So instead of them helping her in a timely manner, she suffers while waiting to fit their schedule. Normally she sits outside, so the birdsong and flowing river sounds were perfect to give her some small comfort. I found this by watching your video about why you left neurosurgery. Thank you. You're doing the right thing for now. You have much to offer, and you will find your next path in good time. Blessings ❤ 3:08:30

I used to work for the bank and though cannot be compare to the stress that comes with neurosurgeries, it was very stressful always constantly having to pressure customers especially the elderly into opening new and spreading their bank accounts to meet the quarterly sales goal; it was morally and ethically wrong. This reminds me of the time when I went up to the mountains just to watch the breeze blows the leaves and listen to the sound of leaf rustling, stare at the water in the lake and the way it moves and contemplate. It’s so calming and therapeutic for the mind that my apprehension and stress disappeared.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place as I contemplate a strange loss for my long lived airline job.
My job as a flight attendant was very stressful in nature due to the many time changes, the short layovers, not having enough rest on international flights, dealing with unruly people and of course the events and changes that occurred after 9-11 and during the pandemic.
I did not want to quit because I love to travel, free travel nevertheless, but that came with a cost and nothing is free right?
Anyway to make a very long story short, I left my job during the pandemic thinking that would resolve my problems.
It resolved my physical problems but not this emotional feeling of loss as I find myself contemplating.
Plot twist …. When I left my job my company offered an early out package including free travel for the rest of my life BUT I still miss my job that made me suffer for many years.
I compare my ex airline job to a bad marriage, to a divorce.
Why did I write all this…
I should have written this comment under your other video where you explained why you left your job as a neuro surgeon.
The river image made me contemplate.
Where is this gorgeous area located?
Perhaps it’s time for me to visit the mountains

But there was something at your job you miss. Hopefully it's not just that discomfort is familiar feeling, a negative result a person might get from rough childhood. If you don't have things like that is it comadaderie, maybe feeling pride for being competent in such a demanding role. I can't imagine how a person can do such a job with the schedule and serving so many people and just having to be cooped up on a plane, AND the responsibility of safety for passengers. Anyway, you've got me thinking. I'm in same way, I miss the job I left because it made me crazy

Religions are not true, but I appreciate the sentiment. We can, however, find value in peaceful nature like this and in being human without having to resort to spreading mythologies as if they were facts. Appreciate your life for what it is and be honest with yourselves about what you know and don't know. No one knows what happens after we die. And that's okay. Just be a good human. That is much braver and more laudable than wishful thinking. I do not mean to begin an argument, just sharing my perspective like everyone else.

    • @AngeloManzi
      @AngeloManzi 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@adbeelgarcia5131”I do not wish to be argumentative”… yet you say every possible thing combined that could possibly start an argument. And the funniest part about it is you did it without solicitation as a reply to someone else with the opposite view of yours. Brother you coulda said this as its own comment, but you chose to say it as a reply. Just tell us the truth… hearing about God pisses you off, and that was your way of ranting because it makes you feel some type of way.
Well let me give you some unsolicited facts then, since we’re on that train together… Jesus Christ is real whether you want to believe it or not. And one day you will end up dying, whether you like it or not you will inevitably reach a point where you no longer exist on this earth. You will realize at that point that there really is life beyond earth, and that eternity is a real phenomenon. And I’d like you to know that those sins/transgressions you carry as a human have to be paid for in one way or another. Your creator made it so you don’t have to suffer the consequences of your sins by paying the price for you, a free gift every single human being has a right to partake in. You literally have the opportunity right now to do the one thing you’ve never wanted to do out of stubborn pride… you have the ability to put your prideful opinions aside and pray. You can easily tell God that you don’t know if he’s real, and ask him to reveal himself to you to see if he is. You can tell him you’re willing to humble yourself, and honestly seek for evidence to see where it takes you, and you could tell him that you’d be willing to believe if you found actual proof of his existence. When you decide to humble yourself and seek for evidence honestly you’ll be amazed at what you could find. As long as you continue to be arrogant, prideful, and keep your opinion to such a high regard… you will never see the kingdom of God.
Treat God like you would a scientific discovery, actually play neutral and ask yourself “if God really did exist, how would I find him? How would I reach that point that ultimately determines whether or not his existence is possible? What does the Bible say about how to seek God… is there a way I can actually definitely find out if he’s real?”
Once you start asking those questions and seeking for EARNEST answers… you’ll be shocked by the results. This is coming from a lifetime atheist who had a radical encounter with God after humbling myself and seeking for answers with an open heart.
I’m sure you’ll find everything I wrote to be an absolute waste of time. But I still chose to write it on the off chance you decide to say “you know what, there’s no harm in finding out once and for all whether or not God could actually be real. Let me take a neutral stance and try to find out for myself by researching the Bible, and studying the ways others have used to try to find out his existence. Let me see what the consensus is, and then let me try to follow in those footsteps to see where it leads me. I wonder if actually laying down my pride and opinions will actually lead to a fruitful outcome.”
Only one way to find out… :) all the best
