- Take a look at the outstanding builds on display at the annual Australian Model Expo! The 2024 Australian Open Plastic & Scale Modelling Championships were held at Sandown Park Raceway near Melbourne from June 8 to 10.
We focus on the race and road car models, but this video covers all the key highlights, from club displays to military, dioramas, trade stands, aircraft (lots of aircraft!), tanks and soooo much more.
Tremendous. Thanks.
What amazing work from all. This video is worth watching again on slow Mo.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, slow-mo is def an advantage, hopefully everyone knows how they can change the TH-cam playback speed if they want to!
@@wixy500 Click the little cog ikon at the bottom of the screen and choose your speed. The voice is hilarious though at .25!
Hahaha, oh mute it at that speed, please mute! lol
Awesome Stuff....Watching from Guam..
Awesome coverage, appreciate you taking the time! That Ferrari Macchi aircraft was super fun lol. So much great stuff out there.
Yeah, that plane was something a bit different!
Lovely models, and a good coverage of the displays.. My fav: Mad Max Panel Van.
Thanks! I think there's been at least one Mad Max model at every Expo I've been to :)
13:14 that looks like a full size working engine, amazing
Wasn't full size, but it was big!
Wow. Big skills.
All amazing the best in show captured the time perfectly
It was an awesome build and deserving winner.
Wow, awesome !!
I would love very much to see and learn more about the Mad Max Motorcycle with sidecar and bubble lid? Is it a kit or scratch?
Sorry mate, I have no idea about that one.
Cars and motorbikes did it for me. Some really outstanding work, beats all of those mat Flying machines vehicles.
Hahaha. How about a glossy commercial airliner??
There's something wrong with your club's "Past, present, future" display. You have a bunch of Star Wars models in the future section, but at the start of the original film it says "A long time ago, in a galaxy ....", so they should be in the past section.
That's a very valid point! I'll have to have a chat with the sci-fi builders at our next meeting ;)
You obviously like cars. Not so much coverage of the armour models. Thank you for posting though.
Yes, the channel is about model road and race cars - sorry!
