My 05 Expedition was inop with temps above 90 degrees. I performed the bypass on my evaporator temp sensor and now I have fixed this persistent problem of 2 years
My Honda pilot 2017 it freezes the evaporator after 20 minutes running, i thought this my be the problem, this sensor stop the evaporator to freeze, so i remove it, in the process i found the return air was block of debris, so it was restricted of air flow 😀 hopefully this works, i test mi Heater core temperature sensor like this video show, and it looks fine, great video 👍
Thanks for this very informative video. The recirculation mode in my Nissan has been going OFF after a bit of driving and then ON again within 20 seconds. Sensor failing? I live in the tropics. Any chance of evaporator icing up if I do a bypass?
What if there is a decrease in resistance value when you place the thermistor in a hot water of about 90 degrees Celsius and at a point the value remained static without any further decrease .Do you consider that a faulty thermistor
My car probably has a bad condenser temperature sensor. I know my car since I bought it brand new. The car is suzuki celerio 2018. The auxillary fan automatically turns on when when it needs to cool the aircon, and when its hot it runs faster then when it reaches proper cold temp it turns off or runs low kinda like a regular home electric fan that has 0,1 and 2 speed. Do you think its the thermal sensor or the auxillary fan motor?
My ford escape cools well on day time, buy night time it doesn’t cool, when i off and on the compressor it cools for 30 to 40 secs and doesn’t cool again Will it be the temp sensor inside the evaporator?
Thanks for this awesome video ... I am watching it from Kurdistan Region ❤.. my car's evaporator sensor shows that everything is working fine during multimeter test ... But the ac works all the time ... The ohm meter shows normal numbers .. but the voltage shows 5 volts while it should be 0.81 according to the car service manual at 40 Celsius degree ... !! How to test the voltage? Dose it matter?
Thanks for the video. Now I know my temperature sensor is ok. I was able to mesure the resistance. **I tried the jumper test but it didn't work for me. I will try a resistance instead. For info my car is a corolla 2005.
I have a 2015 Escape that had, what I thought was the ambient temperature sensor. I replaced it a couple of times to no avail. So I took it to my mechanic. He ran tests but couldn't declare what was wrong. So he replaced the front wiring harness. Then the other wiring harness. He's stumped and says the only other course of action is to take it to the dealership.$$$$ If shorting the two wires will make the AC work, why couldn't I get a thermostat for the interior of the car and hook it up to a relay that would turn the AC on and off at a given temp? This would solve the problem of constantly running the compressor when shorted and making the evap coil a solid chunk of ice. Just thinking how I can save many $$$$$$ going to a dealership.
Hello sir. I saw your video about the AC problem and i have qustion... My AC sometime work and sometime not... its pull out air but not allways cold... i connect my car to computer and saw that the Evaporator Temperature Sensor is 5 degress and suddenly go up to 20 degress and more and the air is not cold... all this time the Compressor clutch working (according to the computer)... if the Compressor clutch working the problem still can be the Evaporator Temperature Sensor? Or the AC pressure unit ? Becuse i saw in your video that if the AC PRESSUR unit not good its effect on the Compressor clutch... What would you suggest doing? My car is Peugeot 5008 2013. I filled up with gas and according to my mechanic there is no leak in the pipes. Thanks
My ac turns on by itself sometimes. It doesn’t matter if the button is off I feel the air. It goes out on it’s own as well not like I can turn it off since it’s already off.what might be the issue??
I think that may be the problem with my G37. In self-diagnosis, I get code 24 for intake sensor. Then checking the sensor mode 5, defrost button 3 times, I see the temperature reading is an error: negative 22 degrees Fahrenheit.
I found (finally) my EVAP sensor . I removed it and measured the values. It seems ok as the video explains... Then I bypassed the sensor cable and it didn't work. Was still blowing hot. The error code on my Chevy Trax is B3933-05. I was like if it isn't this what is it ? I gave up and reconnected the sensor back it's place very tightly. I turned on the car and A/C started to work. I don't know how long it will last. 🤔
Hello sir pls, my compressor comes on it gets cool air but less than 30secs it cycles again. Even in hotter days still the same way. Pls can the evap sensor be affecting this pls will appreciate your input. Thanks
I turn on the ac and the compressor is moving and i added a freon but is doesn't cold the line and didn't emptied the can i always switch to the opening position but it doesn't get cold from the vent and the ac switch stay on
I wish i saw this video sooner before spending a small fortune to replace parts that were never the cause of the issue in the first place -_- Would you happen to know if I need to completey remove the dashboard for a 2009 Hyundai Tucson in order to access/replace the Thermistor?
Everything I need in one video. Thank you greatly.

I got the same issue in my Honda Accord 2006.... Any idea about the cause....???

Hello sir. Please make a video on how to test ambient air temperature sensor ( located in front bumper)with multimeter.
this sesor triggers also the on and off of your aux fan
This video was guud

I have this exact problem. My ac compressor works non stop
You get colder air that way
I test my sensor with multimeter (cold water value is high and hot water value is down) but ac is not trip
mechanic told your sensor is not good
WTF when did Mr.Rogers become a mechanic😂
Just roll down the window
🤔👏👌👍
