    I am selling my Helix right now, this is what I've wanted for a long time, simple, analog, can't get a bad tone, marvelous inventive genius here Thomas, you the man! I cannto wait to refit my entire rig with BluGuitar and all the add-ons. I speny $1500 on my Helix and I wish this had been there as I would have got this right off. Now that Sweetwater carries them just too cool!
    Thanks Mr. B you are a cool chap and can rip on the guitar. That LesPaul demo was amazing. Consider me a customer. Players who have been playing for some time and have used everything are going to love this amp system!

      Funny you say this. I actually bought the amp one a couple years ago but bought into the hype of the helix and bought one. I spend many hours figuring it out but it was just a pain in the ass. I ended up selling it for $600 less than I paid for it and went back to my amp one which sit nicely on my pedal board right above my remote 1. Love it.

      @@Ficserv01 The Amp1 is a great product. I love mine and use it with the Remote1. I also own a Helix, which is a completely different beast and far more complex. You have all sorts of effects, emulations and signal chain options that you simply don't have with the Amp1. I am curious how AmpX will compare to the Helix as Mr. Blug adds complexity to his awesome products.

    I originally got my Amp1 without the Remote1. I live in an apartment which makes it hard to drive my amp hard and loud. So I ordered and received a Remote1 primarily for the power soak feature.
    I am so pleased with the amazing package and additional features of Amp1 together with Remote1. So hard to believe the tones that come out of this small package and together with my Nanocab i am blown away. Fantastic work Thomas Blug ! It looks like more and more players are catching on to and enjoying your creations. Im sure we can expect more fantastic innovations from your company in the future.
    Best of luck to you sir !

      Cool. Have you used the Amp1 and Remote1 with a non-Blug low-wattage cab? I have a 25W cab lying around and I like it; my thinking is that if I set the powersoak slightly past noon, I should be able to use my 25W cab.

    I got my Amp1 last Friday and I've fallen in love. The Remote1 arrives tomorrow and I didn't even know it could do all THIS! I love my Kemper Stage, but sometimes I need something more compact and sometimes I need to power it. I tried the Amp1 at NAMM 2020, but Hall D is so noisy. Since just about every profile I use in my Kemper is Plexi based, I decided to go ahead and order the Amp1 Mercury Edition. Amazing! So I ordered the Remote1 today. I decided to seek out this video and I'm floored! I can't WAIT to dive in! If the ability to do this existed in more amps...the world would be a better place! 🤯

    Got mine today w the Remote 1. Very great sounding REAL amp. The channels are just as what you would want and expect in a great guitar amp. All manner of tones from glass clean to burn. I had to redo my entire rig so I am not fully up on getting the settings where I like. But for the money this is a great guitar amp. I am sure once I get used to it, I am really going to love it. Seems right now you cannot get a bad tone. Just a matter of getting used to the controls. I have a small multi unit in the loop for mod,delay and reverb and right now that thing is giving me fits trying to program it. Anyway, get this rig if you want a great versatile wide ranging REAL guitar w 4 channels and vast adjustments. Right off I heard the real amp thing again after messing with so many modelers recently, analog is just better. Noise on something is more than I expected but I am sure it's because I do not have it all figured out and the multi unit I have also has an additional NR I can add if needed (high gain).

    Very intrigued about the Powersoak option. I find that without it, even with the Master Volume on 3 for the vintage or classic channels, the overall volume is VERY LOUD. You mention that there is no tone loss when the Power Soak knob is set to the 12 oclock position, what happens to the tone when you move into the "Home" area (1-5) on the knob? It sounded pretty good in this video, but you clearly say that no loss only when past the 12 oclock position, so what does happen to the tone in the "Home" setting? Thx! Todd in Chicago

    • @BluGuitar
      @BluGuitar  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question, Todd! The Power Soak is sound neutral in any knob position, both HOME mode and STAGE mode.

    I really like this amp, the idea and everything, but I'd find it much better on amp1 itself instead of having a digital reverb, having Powersoak in it with gain master stuff, and an on and off option of FXLoop, would be so much better!
    With this if it were to have a control equal to Remote1, it would be much smaller, or maybe create a "AMP2" in the future maybe a little bit bigger with dual eq (clean, overdrive) first, and another to (classic, modern), and make some way to control the "clean" and "overdrive" footswitch as a preset, so you can preset quickly, for example from clean to modern, or from vintage to classic instead of having a "footprint" for every channel, to keep equipment small and friendly for a pedalboard and have the looperkit as an extra thing and maybe a basic external footswitch just to change channels. I think this will be close to perfection. Thanks

  • @krelbar
    @krelbar 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have an Amp 1 now...awesome...though i must say that while the addition of the pedalboard is nice, it takes away from the compact nature of the amp. Where you can just carry the small pedal amp and a cab...now you have a pedalboard. extra thing to carry.

    In terms of channel switching, does it still go back to clean? Say you use the Vintage Channel by stepping on its button. Does it go back to clean if you step on it again?

    • @BluGuitar
      @BluGuitar  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which device and which button are you referring to, Michael? If you mean the AMP1 in standard (or direct access) mode and the left internal foot switch, then yes: It toggles between CLEAN and OVERDRIVE.

    • @michaelbalance98
      @michaelbalance98 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BluGuitar I'm referring to the Remote 1 when in the Vintage Channel. I'm planning to get it over the summer along with the Amp 1 Mercury edition and Nanocab, and I'm spending as much time as I can learning about it because I need more tonal flexibility as I'm playing.

    Hi Thomas, great amp, really enjoying playing both modern country and rock through it. I mostly use the clean and modern modes, but not so much the Vintage and Classic modes. Is it possible to set 3 different gain levels of Modern across pedals 2, 3 & 5 on the Remote 1 ?

    Does the remote1 save EQ ?

  • @michaelbalance98
    @michaelbalance98 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you HAVE to turn down the Master volume on the footswitch to create each preset?

    • @BluGuitar
      @BluGuitar  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have the option to dial in a specific Mastervolume for each preset, but only if you want. When you connect the Remote1 to AMP1, all volumes are as before, unless you change anything...

  • @michaelbalance98
    @michaelbalance98 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great for what it does but much too expensive for what it is!

    • @BluGuitar
      @BluGuitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s not cheap, but it’s what you get and probably you don’t see. 5 years of team work,
      Easy 1/2 million developing costs spent… tooling cost.
      If you’d look into details you’d probably think differently… it’s not a mass product for everybody, it’s a tool for pros.

    • @Maxaipa777
      @Maxaipa777 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BluGuitar thats an articulate way of justifying "reinventing the midi wheel". Midi technology has been out since the 80's and keeps improving. There are several videos out there showing how to utilize the amps functions with more affordable controllers that run at half the price. If your target market is only pros then.... but there are alot of gigging musicians who after buying the amp aren't inclined to spend almost the cost of the smp on a footswitch.
