I think the movie will still be great and i might be the person most looking forward to seeing Constantine sequel. Peter Stomare is right about it should not be all action and special effects and in my personal opinion it should be as unique, slightly disturbing and provocative as the original Constantine. Theres a thorough use of religious imagery by director Francis Lawrence in the original Constantine and i think thats ok because even though Constantine is obviously a fictional movie it doesnt morph it into a gimmick or something that is used as a thing to bypass criticisms. Even if it's 15 or so many years after the first Constantine, it can still hopefully be and perform just like the original. these guys, the director Francis Lawrence, actors Keanu Reeves and Peter Stomare should realize that even though the original did ok in the money department, with these movies as great as they are, theres a large chance that its not going to be a huge box office hit, and if its like the first its going to over time get notoriety, its a more mature movie, even though its based on a comic book, its vertigo, dc comics, r rated. Think about some of the best r rated comic book movies that are r rated or pg 13 but directed to more mature audiences, as great as they are its going to slowly over time draw people to the movie, Blade 2, Watchmen, etc. The only pg 13 movie that is r rated or very serious and did very well at the box office is the dark knight film, and that was the first comic book film that made a billion dollars at the box office. It seems to me director Francis Lawrence built from the traditional religion examples into his fiction universe for Constantine, im hoping its the same with the sequel, and not necessarily making a political statement but the first Constantine the lead actor is strait Christian, the Constantine tv show the actor is a homosexual person that masquerades as a Christian, it even shows him emgaging in same sex activities. Tbere are some really cool dc comics vertigo characters that the writers could explore using, there the great evil beast that is depicted in dc comics as a thing that could not be stopped by any dc comics characters, finally god stopped it by actually making a truce or something with it, another dc comics character that could be explored is asmodel king archangel of the bull host, in dc comics his body is somewhat similar to a bull standing with a halo and staff but obviously special effects could show him morphing into human form. In the aforementioned form its said each one of his heartbeats had the power of a nuclear weapon. There are more very serious and weighty characters in dc comica and vertigo that the director amd writers of Constantine could explore using as either characters to feature shortly or as part of the story

He seem so sympathic, although he played so often bad guys. That feel's weird to me. :-)
