Part 2 has been shown in China today!!! I wish I was there. They say it's the best Sailor Moon project ever ! Lots of cries , big fights and strong story insights! Can't wait!
@@pilotamurorei Yes it has, but not widely, it's in Shanghai, with only limited tickets, for a few days. I'm surprised that it is shown even earlier than Japan. People are already sharing comments on Chinese social media.
Galaxias motivation is different afaik. She isnt just out for power, she wants to conquer because her home planet was a wasteland basically and was jealous of the Moon Kingdom for having such a stable solar system. She used that to also control the animamates as well.

Japan already got the dvd/blu rays back in december. I rewatched it, some things about it still bother me, specifically the copy paste animation work. Typical of modern Japanese animation and it drives me crazy.
Eternal was a shitshow. They really screwed those movies up bad. I didnt pay much attention to the frames, but considering this is modern CGI garbage animation, I'm sure there were some skipped frames.
The lady that took the young child to watch probably figured she watched it when she was a child and turned out fine and couldn’t wait to see the movie 😂
or didnt have a babysitter. Either way, I was surprised af when i saw it because I know the stars arc and how dark it is. After the movie, the little girl didnt seem bothered at all which is a good thing.
questions with spoilers! 1-How are the deaths exactly? 2- did we have new scenes? 3- is the battle between galaxy and Usagi on earth in the playground in this movie? 4- so the movie ends after they went to the castles and Usagi decides to go to sagittarius zero? 5- in the teaser of Hotaru and Pluto, we see Hotaru in the castle with Sailor Galaxy in front of her, is there a fight between them? sorry for so many questions
5 and 2: They added Saturn actually attacking Galaxia, which didnt happen in the comics. 1. Exactly the same as the comics, they get their crystals stolen and turn to dust. 3. Yes. 4. Ends right as Usagi decides to go to Sagittarius zero
Thanks for this review. I want to go to Japan to watch the first part. Any cinema has english subtitles? Also did the outers have eternal transformations?
Nope, no subs. Im fluent in Japanese so i dont have any issues.. Outers didnt have transformations in the original comics, so no transformations here. The thing I forgot to mention was that I actually prefer the animated versions of the Starlights transformations in this version. Give it the music from Sailor Stars and it would be perfect imo.
I mean there are no real surprises if youve read the comics, but that OPENING. I think it might possibly be the best version of any Moonlight Densetsu opening going back to the old tv series
I was just happy to see the outers 3rd attacks animated tbh. If i cared about just the story, I have the entire set of comics here, i can just read em.
@@pilotamurorei i just the find pacing too fast, and some of the animation not so consistent, for a movie its should be the best quality, looking forward for part 2 this friday
@@rjmariano5649 I mentioned that somewhere, i forgot where, but that has to do with the production team saying "HEY ITS EXACTLY LIKE THE COMICS AND NO CHANGES AT ALL!" I thought the pacing was too fast for a movie like that, they could have done a little extra that isnt in the comics and i dont think people would have cared, as long as it put an emphasis on character development. I kinda wanted a little more myself, but seeing as how I have the comics here, i can also see the other perspective.
So I generally HATE all cg animated shows, i shit on them constantly because its only done for cost cutting measures and of course, this had some cost cutting cuts but I personally think it was better than Eternal. I think the two best "crystal" projects were season 3 and Stars tbh. The first two arcs were absolute dogshit, and Eternal was meh as hell. Cosmos wasnt that offensive, not as offensive as the flat out misses from Macross Delta Zettai Live.
Sailor Moon Cosmos is like the Avengers Infinity, Endgame and Justice League Dark Apocalyps War which they darkest and best just like Sailor Moon Cosmos.
Actually i tried to find some Japanese language spoiler reviews and couldnt find any... Maybe not enough people are going to see it? I dunno, I just remember when Macross Delta Zettai Live came out, there were reviews almost right away in Japanese.
@@pilotamuroreicould you please elaborate how it went exactly? Do the senshis die one by one dramatically? or all at the same time like in the original? Wish i was in japan to see it myself, but sadly will have to wait until Netflix brings it in
@@Booster_pack Just like the comics, Mercury and jupiter died at the same time, then Venus and Mars died at the same time, then the outers went to their castles and were killed by Galaxia (although the only one shown in Part 1 was Pluto). Dont worry, they all die, and the other 3 outer deaths will mostly likely be in part 2, as Sailor Moon still held out hope they were alive until she went to one of the castles on the way to Iteza Zero Star and saw the other three die on video. This is where we'll get Saturn's attack.
I wanted to love this movie but I didn’t. I don’t think it’s a bad movie but it’s not a good movie either. Some stills are beautiful, but there are art and animation mistakes all over the place. Sometimes Usagi is just not well drawn. Proportions are sometimes wrong with big head and narrow shoulders, others they look super tall… The path and rhythm might work for episodic manga but it’s a complete mess in the movie. Inners transform up to 3 times but don’t put a fight. I think Venus didn’t even make a single attack. I went with friends who didn’t read the manga but speak perfect Japanese. By the end of the movie they were absolutely lost and not understanding who some characters were. Other than that I think Usagis sorrow and pain is very well captured. Some stills and frames are beautiful, backgrounds are very nice, and Galaxia has a monologue written by Naoko Takeuchi that I loved. I didn’t want to comment on channels of people who didn’t watch the show yet but as you already did… Wished I would have enjoyed as much as you did …
Its because she isnt drawn, shes programmed in a computer. I mention this in the video as I hate modern Japanese animation and its cost cutting through CG. Macross Delta Zettai live is a great example of how awful this crap is (lots of missing cg for Freyja's face and stuff). I think its the best thing so far in the crystal project, but that isnt saying much when the first two seasons of crystal were absolute dogshit.
@@akbarbracho5534 Nope, she has a single transformation. Her transformation is boss though. i'm not a big fan of Sailor Moon herself, never have been, but her entire character arc in the comics I REALLY like. And I will always refer to this animated version as the comics, because its faithful (outside the dark kingdom arc, that had quite a few changes although the story was faithful) to the original source material. Just makes it easier to write out, so hope you arent confused by the way i reference things.

1. Their Sailor crystals are taken out of their bodies and the bodies turn to dust and blow away. 2. The Starlight's transformations were animated and are different than the ones from 97, we got fully animated Uranus and Neptune 3rd attacks, which while we got the attacks themselves in the comics, they have never been animated. They were extremely faithful to the comic versions this time so not a whole lot new. 3. Yes, and Chibi Chibi stops Galaxia, just as in the comics. 4. It ends BEFORE they leave earth but right after Usagi decides to go fight Galaxia. 5. Thats a scene that will be in the next part. The only one of the outers we see fight Galaxia is Pluto, in part 1.
