This is an excellent tutorial. Not everyone is capable of teaching. It takes an innate talent to be able to teach effectively. The person narrating and instructing in this video and the other Excel tutorials is a natural born teacher. Excellent!

Just keep in mind at approximately 1:16:00 when you are describing the find and replace for blank cells, if you replace blanks with zeros that will impact your cells with descriptive stats formulas (average, min, max, count, etc.). If you replace blanks with a dash or "blank" those cells will not be impacted.

I have been using Excel for a while, but I decided to watch this beginner video anyhow and I'm so happy I did...I realized there's a lot I don't know! Faz speaks clearly and is very detailed. Even if you know excel, it might be a good refresher for some tips. I highly recommend. Thank you!

Karim Bhai(Brother) you are the best excel tutor, I like the way you break each detail into chunks so that it can be crystal clear. One thing that has stunned my mind during this whole tutorial is you didn't seem to be a tutor but a brother, a friend. What A human being! Sending you Love and thanks from 🇮🇳

Thank you for this!! I spent two weeks in a course trying to learn this material, but I couldn't make heads or tails of it, and in one sitting, with this tutorial, I was able to learn the beginner's level of the course!
The Instructor is not only knowledgeable, his voice and tone are not off-putting!! -:)
Most people don't realize how much of a difference that makes to some learners, especially as we're all attempting to learn the new normal of learning remotely.
    Again, thank you so much!!!

Your teaching method is very clear, and easy to learn from. Your voice is pleasing to listen to, with no distracting hesitations, pauses or mannerisms. Better than other tutorials I've tried. I'm going to try the Advanced Tutorial now.

I have a row and column with similar names
I am interested in the case of a calculation to have the value from the right combination written in the calculation.
    metal concrete masonry
    metal 1 2 2.5
    concrete 2.5 1 2
    masonry 2 2.5 1
I am interested in choosing the combination of metal + masonry to show the value 2.5 and choosing the combination of concrete + concrete to show me the combination of 1, etc.

This is excellent! In echoing one of the other comments I saw, not everyone can teach! I do have one question. I am at the Totals with Formulas. I'm sure I'm missing a step, but I can't determine what it is! I insert the = sign. Then I go over and select the first $50. Exactly how do I get the other cells to do the same? I clicked Shift + the cell and wasn't successful. Any clarification anyone can offer?

Just found your courses and chose to start with this one. I installed Excel 2019 recently and today as I was following along your video I noticed on the Home/New screen I am not seeing any templates at all, other than the one for 'Blank workbook'. I also do not see the search bar. This is Excel 2019, I believe. It is version 16.53. I own this license, no subscription and I am using an iMac running Big Sur. What happened to the other templates?

I just wanna ask one thing, in 1:00:50 why do you include the auto total in Totals? aren't you supposed to include only B4 to F5 only??

Okay, not sure what is happening here. I used to use Excel quite a bit before I retired and recently decided to catch up and see what has changed. I am barely into this first video and I am going to look elsewhere for training. As I said in my other comment, I am using an iMac 5k 2020, running Big Sur. I installed Office 2019 Home and Student version, a one-time purchase as opposed to a subscription. So far I am seeing screens on my computer that are unlike yours and I don't know why. Do you? Have you made the same mistake many other online trainers make? Is there a difference between the Windows version and the Mac version? I bet there is. Is there a difference between the subscription version and the purchase version? I bet there is. You may not know of all the differences but you should at least alert people to the possibility they exist and explain whether or not they are real differences or can they be the result of different preferences or what? It could well be I have done something dumb but I don't think so. I believe the software you are showing is different than what I have. 👎 👎 👎
