Thank you so much for making this readily available and free. I need it for my new job, but couldn't afford to pay for a course, so you not only saved the day but also saved my new job. I'm sorry I can only offer you a modest "Thank you", but I did like the video and subscribed as well. Not to mention, I will talk about it to others. I want to help you as much as you helped me.
I am or was a teacher, and so I taught video editing for the board of Ed schools, and I like to think that I am a very good teacher and very detailed. Having said that, I go to TH-cam or any other social media platform to learn certain softwares, and I absolutely hate it when you see a title "for beginners" and the person doing the lecture skips through so many things that it leaves you still confused by the end of the video and you've wasted all that time. You however my friend, should be the epitome of teachers! I am a filmmaker and I'm trying to do my budget on a full feature film and I have to use excel, and I can't tell you how many people I've called just on your first video because I've learned so many things on excel, you've made it absolutely understandable, tolerable, enjoyable, acceptable, comprehensible and any other word that I might've missed that ends in ABLE!!!!!! Absolutely lovable!......... This should be the go to video on how to learn excel and I can't wait to see what other software's you have on your video list that I can learn. I thank you very much for your video and I will be sharing this with several other individuals, I am now subscribing to your channel I will be watching every video you have .....once I finish my work ha ha ha ha ha thank you again
I'm a fresh grad wanting to pursue HR, but don't really have foundation due to poor quality education. My friend sent this to me, thank you very much! This would be a big help for me as I'm in my job hunting era. Bless such kind soul like you ❤
I have terrible patience. It took me more than a month to finish this video only. I'm glad i could finish it finally. Thank you so much for giving away these contents for free.
Hey, lots of greetings from India. Thankyou so much for providing a quality video on excel, thank you so very much Joe for providing so deep teaching in an easy way.
Sir, I can't thank you enough for this video! I've learnt so many things that are gonna make my career so easy. I really appreciate sharing these infos for free.
You're doing a great job here, thank you for dishing out this wealths of knowledge for free. But I do have a question " does it mean each time I have an excel version upgrade, I'll have to undergo a fresh training ?" I really do hope you answer me as I am so burdened by this question.
Excel for the most is unchanged from it's core for nearly a decade now. There are obviously new features and a different UX/UI but the core functions of a spreadsheet software have not changed much. Any of our videos are going to give you a solid foundation on Excel.
OMG thank you! I got a D in accounting One 20 years ago before there was a TH-cam cause the teacher didn't teach the basics and was going too fast. I couldn't under everything until now.
Hello..., thank you for sharing the course with us. I do have a question regarding the workbook you shared. I could see from the year 2024 through to 2026 with the year 2024 nicely done. Are we to fill in for the remaining years as a way of practicing? I will appreciate it if you could clarify this for me, please. Many thanks.
I want to take the opportunity to thank you for all the hard work and dedication you put into this its amazing how all this information is free thank you thank you!!!!!!
There are so many Excel courses from different years on this channel. The videos and dedication is superb but it is confusing for me as a beginner on which excel courses I need to learn. Will I become good in Excel if I just follow 2024 Excel courses alone? The quality of teaching is amazing btw.
We have all versions of Excel from different office suites such as Excel 2016, Excel 2019, etc. We always recommend watching the videos for the version of Excel you use most.
Certainly! Let’s dive into formatting totals and year-to-date (YTD) totals in Excel. Formatting Totals: When you want to display a total for a row (such as the sum of values in that row), you can use the Total Row feature in Excel. Here’s how: Create a Table: First, convert your data range into an Excel table (select your data and press Ctrl + T or go to the “Insert” tab and choose “Table”). This step is essential because it enables the Total Row feature. Activate the Total Row: Once your data is in a table, you’ll see a new row at the bottom labeled “Total.” Click the checkbox in the Total Row for the column(s) where you want to display totals. Excel will automatically calculate and display the sum, average, or other aggregate functions for those columns. Customize the Total Row: You can right-click on the Total Row cell and choose different aggregate functions (like Sum, Average, Count, etc.). Additionally, you can format the Total Row cells (font, color, etc.) to make them stand out. Calculating Year-to-Date (YTD) Totals: Now, let’s tackle YTD totals. These are cumulative sums of data from the beginning of the year up to a specific month. Here are a few methods: Using SUM Functions: Suppose you have monthly sales data in columns C (quantity sold) and D (total price). In cell E5 (for January), enter this formula: =SUM($D$5:D5)/SUM($C$5:C5) Drag this formula down to calculate YTD totals for subsequent months. Combining Functions: You can use a combination of functions like SUM, IF, MONTH, and OFFSET. For instance, if your data starts in cell B5 (with dates in column B), and prices are in column D: =IF(MONTH(B5)=1, D5/C5, SUM(OFFSET($D$5,0,0,1,1):D5)/SUM(OFFSET($C$5,0,0,1,1):C5)) This formula calculates YTD price per unit, considering the month. Using SUMPRODUCT: In cell E5: =SUMPRODUCT($D$5:D5)/SUMPRODUCT($C$5:C5) Drag down to fill for other months. Dynamic Formula for YTD Growth Rate: Compare sales data between two years (e.g., 2020 and 2021). Use SUM, OFFSET, and MATCH functions: =SUM(OFFSET(E5,1,1,1,MATCH($I$5,$F$5:$H$5,0)))/SUM(OFFSET(B5,1,1,1,MATCH($I$5,$C$5:$E$5,0)))-1 Adjust cell references as needed. Remember, Excel provides various ways to achieve the same result, so choose the method that suits your specific scenario.

Your video is amazing. But there's a problem for me. The problem is I have the excel 2013 not the excel 2024. So, I have a question about it. "Can I do all thing the same way you are doing in excel 2024 in my excel 2013?" ( I HOPE and WISH that you will give answer of my question as soon as possible)
Core stuff like formulas and functions will work the same but there have been many improvements since then. We recommend our 2016 Excel videos to begin with in you case.

To group adjacent (consecutive) worksheets, click the first sheet tab, hold down the Shift key, and click the last sheet tab. To remove a worksheet from the group, hold down Ctrl as you click the worksheet's tab.

Do you have a video for how to format a total and year to date total for a row?
Certainly! Let’s dive into formatting totals and year-to-date (YTD) totals in Excel.

Customize the Total Row:
You can right-click on the Total Row cell and choose different aggregate functions (like Sum, Average, Count, etc.).
Additionally, you can format the Total Row cells (font, color, etc.) to make them stand out.
Calculating Year-to-Date (YTD) Totals:

Using SUM Functions:
Suppose you have monthly sales data in columns C (quantity sold) and D (total price).

=SUM($D$5:D5)/SUM($C$5:C5)
Drag this formula down to calculate YTD totals for subsequent months.

For instance, if your data starts in cell B5 (with dates in column B), and prices are in column D:
=IF(MONTH(B5)=1, D5/C5, SUM(OFFSET($D$5,0,0,1,1):D5)/SUM(OFFSET($C$5,0,0,1,1):C5))
This formula calculates YTD price per unit, considering the month.
Using SUMPRODUCT:
In cell E5:
=SUMPRODUCT($D$5:D5)/SUMPRODUCT($C$5:C5)
Drag down to fill for other months.
Dynamic Formula for YTD Growth Rate:
