@@CarAudioEnthusiasts the capacitor goes in the test lead not the lead to the driver. The tester should have a 50k input so you'll also need a 10k resistor across the test leads between amp and capacitor so the DC doesn't charge the capacitor. You'll have no bass filtering and no DC making it to the tester. This is on the voltage leads not the ones for the coil that measures current.
@CarAudioEnthusiasts Okay, for a minute there I was thinking the meter was defective. Looking at your older video, it seems the meter was working fine. I guess it really is the DC offset. Have you talked to Deaf Bonce to see if this is normal on their Atom amplifiers? It's possible your particular amp has a small defect in it.
@@anthonydavidson9379 same here bro mine is on a Ruthless 10k I have only seen 3k at full tilt it definitely doesn't read correctly but Nelo media has a new one they just came out with I already ordered it waiting for it to arrive I'll post videos on it when I get it I know it will be accurate coming from Nelo media
Your case is the only one I've heard of this happening. I wonder if the DC offset from the amplifier is doing any harm to your subwoofers or maybe color the sound?
I was literally just about to buy one. Im only running 2k (two helix m one x's twin linked together) Maybe I will pass. Don't want to get everything wired in to have it glitch. I get super pissed when my hardware doesnt work properly. Very OCD with my car audio 😂😂😂. Good vid. Subscribed
Have you try with short wires?,
Try like a 2 ft!
yes,
10uf 200v non polarized capacitor inline on speaker connection will help with dc offset. smd om-1 suggest using one if dc offset is the problem
Hmm, wouldn't that filter lows? I'll have to check into that

The button cycles through the three different displays. If you press and hold it for a few seconds it will go into peak hold mode.
Try pulling out the green plug that is connected to the speaker voltage. Now the button on top should work normally.
disconecting the voltage wires do make the thing work correctly other than it cant read the smp

@@JasonWW2000 not yet, but i will soon
Hmm 🤔 works really well with my smart boss 8k 🤷♂️
Mine is doing the exact same thing on a NVX XAD17.
I have this same meter connected to a ruthless 10k with similar problems. The meter only shows 2 watts at .25 tilt.

Bro that's a good question
cant hear any issues, and that tiny dc current dont really cause any issues, it does however freak out the meter.
@@CarAudioEnthusiasts 😯
You will figure it out 😎
@reson8q not at this time.
It's not going to read correctly if it's getting bad information. It doesn't show any power or impedance until it gets up to at least one Watt.

my issue is due to my amp having a dc offset, its rare and you shouldnt have an issue
