    Your techniques are simple yet very affective. I practice them and it has kept me mean very lean. Im a fitness trainer and i plan on using this with my clients

    I train like that too. Body weight exercises and rapid fighting movement combined to stay lean and fast. Nice to see You doing that also. I'm gonna learn a lot of new movement from your channel. Thank you for that!

    Smart routine. I learned similar from gung fu book, but with the squats being held as stances. Many more stances, too many stances for my old knees and back. By doing the squats version I can tell it creates a far more dynamic development of movement. And better warms the legs for throwing those kicks. I am 💯% going to employ this technique thank you for simplifying things, Sufi

    why it is improtant to practice stances in fighting', for conditiong or accually useful for fighting?

      Shadow PKFR most stances are exaggerated and impractical for a stand up fight. Boxer / Thai / MMA stance is what you would want to use in a fist fight.
      But traditional stances train body alignment, muscular endurance and isometric strength in different muscle groups, as well as mental discipline, so they’re invaluable in that regard

    Master Yan Lei, you are propably not the person I should be asking this from but I don't know who to turn to. Unfortunately I don't know any Mandarin or Cantonese and I was not able to get any information in any of the languages I speak. You are clearly very knowledgeable and trustworthy, so I would be thankful of your input and advice.
    Is Northern Shaolin Yihemen Quan style Kung fu taught anywhere anymore, or did it die away with the last Grand master, Master So? I fear nobody inherited the title of the Grand master from Master So and that might be the case... Master So inherited the title from the previous Grand master, Tai Zong Wen. Did any of Master Wen's students go on teaching Master Wen's teachings? Are foreginers even allowed to learn the art?

    I'm impressed at your size. However, how are you that big? You are definitely lean but you have a lot larger muscle than say Bruce Lee or other slim martial arts people. Do you lift heavy weights frequently or something? Or did others do something different?

      Timothy Freeman I don’t lift anything but 5 lb weights and I have put on muscle within the 4 months of practice. It’s mainly muscle ups, squats, pull ups, a whole variety of pushups, etc. I do use weights when I get to, and try to eat healthy, and provide all the nutrients and substances needed by my torn muscle cells to recover each time I work out. This includes a little bit of lipids, protein, and other foods that target catabolic myostatin that reduces the amount of muscle you will build from working out. It helps speed up the process of building fast twitch muscle fibers so you can throw those powerful strikes.

    It's a completely different art to look good doing it on camera 🎥. I've seen Yan Lei shifu in his best kicking days but I must be honest those Zheng tui & wài bai tui will get 6/10 from me. I know with time, even the best disciples do fall into bad habits 😒👌. According to shaolin tradition, whilst kicking, it's important to keep your head straight, back straight, look straight, then kick as higher as possible faster than thunder⚡and get ready again. The 7 dislikes, represent people who've noticed what I'm talking about. Sometimes positive comments may seem negative but a wise man listens 👍.
