I love how The Black Curriculum focuses on black role models and their positive stories for young people. These stories contribute massively to British history and are often overlooked by the whitewashing of it. I really do hope we see black history being taught in schools. Education for young minds is imperative, especially as white people have avoided talking, and more importantly listening, about race in any real depth like the plauge for decades. The children and young people are missing out on these important conversations at home and in the classroom. I am glad that The Black Curriculum is here to provide the materials and passion to teach black history, we need this. The public needs to support this and stand together to put pressure on the government to implement it into the curriculum. Fantastic work, thank you.

Each year group in our school has a Rebel Hero. Lilian is ours as one of our topics is WW2. We are learning about her this week, can't wait to share her story.
