People with trauma need time to process it. Rumination is a very common symptom. Being heard while trying to make some decisions is very helpful. Despite the trauma people keep a sense of the importance of the long term decisions they are about to make. So not wanting to hear the same stories over again is quite demeaning for people who find themselves in a hard situation.
And most people neither need nor want advice. They just need to know that another human hears the struggle. But is good you up front with having no time for others. Better for them to know this, too.
Love all your other advice but this one is wrong and dangerous. Not judging, I got this wrong too until I found I couldn’t help a person dealing with trauma, no matter how hard I tried. The common coaching stuff that works for people don’t work for trauma. But the research on this is emerging.
Of course this is great. But life just isn't this cut & dried. People through no fault of their own, find themselves trapped in family, or a partner or a shitty work situation. I guess it's good to be letting people know you are not an understanding type.
Dude, you got the definition of trauma bonding wrong. . . trauma bonding is when you have not healed from your trauma yet and you end up in relationships n friendships where people use and abuse you again, and you are not fully aware that you are being abused again. . . Also healing is not a one step process where you find a solution , you implement it and you are healed. . . It takes years to heal, and it helps to have a kind soul who can listen to us when the going gets hard. . . So please do ur homework before you parade insensitive and misinformed advise with the utmost confidence.
Setting boundaries and not allowing someone to emotionally dump their problems on you doesn't mean you're unkind. It could simply mean you don't have the mental capacity to deal with that person problems.
@@isaidadollar4668yes but in this video’s case, it’s just insensitive. So many things cannot be fixed by a dude just giving advice. Like I went to therapy and am on meds but it still was tough to slowly heal from depression. It’s okay to set boundaries and all that! But it’s not okay to comment on a situation you might not understand

Empathy/ compassion will always get you so much further in life than having that shitty attitude!

Wow. You're going to be a great parent😱😲🥺🧐🤔😂🤣😂
How do you stop trauma bonding with food?

Does this mean problems within the relationship or just in general stuff?
