if you leave the black table behind couch try moving the brown tools things under it on each side of it and see if those stools you took out kitchen will fit under the sofa table
Hi maya! For your remotes, I would suggest buying a coffee table book with storage to place your remotes in. This would allow it to be apart of your decor while also hiding “clutter” I like the brown tables with the mirror but I also like the black and brown tables/ storage with that mirror
My thoughts exactly… the table behind the couch is both too tall and too short and takes away from the room. Also additional decor in that space would be too much … there’s already table top decor on the side tables, center/coffee table and the bookshelf thing under the white artwork.

The mirror and table is perfect, you moving the sofa table and the foot stools in the back of the sofa is perfect!!! I think you should center your painting and the light next to the fireplace to go in the center on the table underneath, it looks slightly off being closer to the fireplace. Nooooww, this may be a stretch but it would be nice if you could slightly extend the rails/spindles of the stairs (the right side) and place somewhat of a curved rail/spindles there; then remove the rail that’s on the left wall. A tripod/standing lamp would be a nice touch somewhere in that area…possibly where the low cubby bench is located. I know I’m suggesting a lot but just thought it would be a nice touch! Have you ever considered incorporating and art piece with black and white by the tv instead of the white art you have to tie the entire room together? Just a thought. Keep the brown shade! It is a subtle pop of neutral besides the black, that’s pulling everything from the stools, to the new cabinets together. You can always get a throw or some throw pillows in the same shade of the brown to really make it more cohesive

Hey Maya!! Have you thought about felt furniture slides, they go under the bottom of the legs on furniture to slide easily on wood floors without damaging the floor. They come in all sizes. ❤
The first thing I thought was to shorten the feet if you wanted to keep it behind the couch. Then I thought if you were gone put it anywhere, put it under mirror and move the console table. Those cabinets need to stay in the front room because that's where family and friends will gather and it would make a bigger statement than it being in your office. Get the other color cabinets for your office but try the ones you have in there first to see how you like it. The room, to me, looks better because it's more color contrast. Your console table was black, with the black candle holder and black and white books. The brown makes the decor stand out more and the two tones of the brown tie in the mirror. The black iron on the mirror breaks it up so it's not matching too much and also ties in the candle holders.
Mirror and sideboard combo…perfect. Brightens the room without over powering the aesthetic of the room.
