also, something that needs to be warned of, which you may not have encountered: when your stash is very full, and you apply a loadout where you're missing gun parts, and do "ignore missing parts", the game can soft-lock and require alt-f4 so one should always have plenty space in the stash when dealing with loadouts
Awesome tips! Thanks! I also like to have one kit saved as "basics" where I have the main meds and a nade in the pockets, one backpack with food and water, one vest and a face cover, with no pouch. This way if I die I just hit the basics preset, eat and drink all, add the pouch back in, armor, helmet, gun, mags and I'm good to go. Takes me about 1 min to get fully ready to a raid without having to use the same gear.
This whole preset system is fine for designing guns, but it's stupid and clumsy when applied to entire loadouts. What we need is an additional hideout module that has mannequins, maybe 3-5 of them, unlocked/expanded by a quest around the mid-game (like going to Interchange to collect mannequin parts for Ragman or something) - and the mannequins have all the same slots as your body (minus secure container) and exist to allow you to stage up entire loadouts that are ready to be transferred onto your character with one click after you die, or swapped with whatever is on your body with one click if your group is shifting gears on objectives while prepping for the next raid. That way you can cobble together complete loadouts *with the equipment you already have,* whether that's queuing up several similar-but-not-necessarily-identical loadouts for the purpose of grinding through a specific quest or repeated raids on the same map, or whether that's queuing up a few different styles of loadout so you're always ready to jump into one of several roles on demand. This is such a a simple and obviously better idea instead of having to configure and reconfigure endless different complex hypothetical 'presets' of very limited and specific usefulness that force you to buy every specific piece of missing kit in a hypothetical loadout and causes all these potential issues with accidental flea purchases, and is really only a useful system after you've progressed to the kind of massive wealth that lets you just buy your idealized kits for different maps over and over again rather than working with your mixed and motley in-raid gear finds. They already have the models and textures for the mannequins in the game, and the logic to program such a feature would be extremely simple by comparison even to the whole equipment preset system they've already rolled out.
This video made me rethink my whole playstyle. I've created a couple presets last wipe but only used them after death. The loot-dump feature of re-equipping is incredibly helpful. Might just start selling everything to traders after as well. With the increased efficiency to get back into raid, it would probably make up for the money that I made off selling things on the flea. Great video. Subbed. Have a good one!
@@ChucklesTV In that way you are getting the same amount of money (aprox. and even with a little loss its fine as well) but you are trading time spent selling for time played. Super smart playstyle, specially for casuals
Thanks mate!! All I want now is a rekit and requeue button that instantly applies your previous loadout then queues you back into the map you just died in. Then we can die even faster to Mr scavvy boi running 545 T
Pretty useful video. I feel it really is worth it to get used to the presets mechanic but since it's so new, many people that have a few hundreds/thousands of hours are too used to the way things have been for the last years- Pretty good video, I'll try it out! ^^
something for my presets is i just dont make any loadout with my gamma container so it doesnt mess with keys or other stuff its another click depending but still quicker overall without the headache
One little tip I have to add here for people tired of the unnecessary default mods being bought twice, although it may not be the convenient solution people are looking for, but if you allow the kit to buy all those extra mods the first time, and then keep those default pieces in your stash somewhere (like a weapons case or pistol case depending on what it is) it wont ask you again, as long as you have the pieces in your stash somewhere it will only buy the default gun. Since the default gun comes with those pieces they wont be used and will stay in said case indefinitely. The only issue is if you use anything below like 95% dura or non-traders items there's a chance people will sell you that item without default parts, so the ones you have squirreled away will be used for the weapon and you'll have to buy them again next time. So watch for that when buying from players on the flea for loadouts
Mate. Thanks for this, your going to save people thousands of man hours of clicking. I had a little play with the presets thought it was cool but this has opened my eyes to the possibilies. Nice work .
I don't use it because you can't exclude the pouch. I wanna arrange that myself and I don't wanna update every single preset every time I make a change to my pouch. If I could exclude certain parts and only equip the armors, guns and consumables in the rig/pockets, then it would be great. But the fact that it also saves my bag and pouch is really annoying.
This video has been the most helpful tarkov tutorial I have ever seen. I was spending so much time trying to get a new kit after death and this saves so much time. Thank you for making this video, you are a legend!
You can save a preset with your prison pocket in your stash (not equipped) and then you wont have to worry about it messing with anything in there. Your preset will auto put the case in your stash and you just reequip :)
Awesome addition, I just don’t like how it effects your keys in docs cases etc 😅 loaded into many raids with no keys or the wrong ones 🤦🏼♂️ maybe that my problem…

My only issue with presets is when you're saving guns and gear (and ammo) you can't actually buy yet but found in raid (No flea. Trader lvl low so expensive. Etc) Do you only run kits you can freely purchase economically from the flea or traders you've unlocked?
Yeah, you should have access to the gear you are trying to save as a preset ofc. If you just have a one off piece that you found in raid but cannot buy then you should just equip it manually

I wish the loadout system was smarter when buying the items, so it would never double-buy things by finding the weapon base first and then checking everything else.

I wouldn’t say he has a lot solely because he has nothing in his stash, he’s really good at maximizing loot runs and minimizing the time it takes to do so, instead of having a huge stash and sorting through everything, he keeps it simple to save time and keeps only what he needs. I personally hate having a huge stash to manage and would much rather just have it stored as cash, my problem is that I buy a kit, die, buy a kit, die, buy a kit, die. And then run out of roubles 😭 so I need to make better use of focusing on looting well and not dying like he does.
