767 is one of my favorite aircraft. I would still choose it today for long haul routes given it's 2-3-2 configuration in economy. She still gets the job done.
I love it too. I remember my first time on board on of these in Germany with Lufthansa, I was super happy with the economy experience, thanks to the 2 3 2 config.
That livery is just spectacular! It doesn't matter which model of aircraft adorns it or how many times I've seen it, it's one of the finest ever and for me, it's 2nd only to the classic Delta livery of 1962-1997, especially when it was painted on my favourite airliner of all time, the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar!
My Dad and I had a little convo with one of the pilots for these when they first started with the 767 again last summer in Toronto, he just randomly came and sat next to us in the terminal. Guy was super friendly, told us about where he'd been the last week or so. I think he said he started his leg of the trip in Madrid If I remember and ended up in Toronto before going back home to a town in Sask for a few weeks. It was his last year before retirement and he joked about how he was happy to be doing more relaxing long haul flying and not have to deal with all the stress of passenger flying. Can't remember his name but I imagine he's enjoying retirement now!
This is a brillant idea. Cargo is popular, they already know the 767 (pilot, maintenance…) and all 767 aren’t leasing, so this is a great way to make profits
Flew ACs 767 transatlantic in 2015, which was may first long haul flight, altough the plane was pretty outdated by then I was still amazed after only flying Ryanair before in my life :D. Amazing to see them still going strong after more tahn 30 years and even funnier that the also own brand new ones. Same plane 30 years of age diffrence.
I just applied to a job in the communications dept of AC Cargo. Really hope I get it because this seems like a great way to use old planes that passengers can't use anymore. It'd be fun to run campaigns for them!
First time I flew on a 767: "neat plane!" Last time I flew on a 767: "charming antique!" I assume Air Canada (or the horse owners) have special animal wranglers for such skittish high-value cargo.
Very relatable. I remember back in 2016 mostly I would see lots of Air Canada 767s and AC rouge 767s flying by my house. All of the ones that had the CF6 engines would make a distinctive low howl noise which I find nostalgic.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s in Pierrefonds under a runway approach so I saw the whole fleet from Viscouts to 767s eh 😃 Traveled on Viscouts; Vanguards DC-9; DC-8; 747; and L-1011s - Dad got AC passes from work - Dorval Maintenance base :)
It’s great to see older jets in the sky instead of wasting away in the California and Arizona deserts. Do you know if the freighters are going to be used in North America, or will they be worldwide? Great video, thanks for uploading it.
Such a beautiful plane. It doesn't look like a plane that should have been retired by aircanada into freighters. All it needed is new modern (neo) fuel efficient engines.
Last week. there was an airplane taxies near the west side runway and it was surrounded by fire trucks, I saw it as I was driving towards Walmart near Deerfoot City. Any idea what was going on? hopefully everything was ok.

Great pictures of the horses in their storage hold!
Brilliant videos shots Canada corgo planes love them thanks class😊👍🇬🇧❤️
I was waiting to board my flight in DFW and saw an Air Canada Cargo 767 take off out of the corner of my eye. Super cool spot!

Wow I am glad to see a proud wings painted bird still going!!!!
The sound of the CF6 engines never gets old to my ears 💪

Wish you all the best
Looks great in the new paint. Btw, wonder how the horses feel while traveling in an airplane?
I'm sure, given the opportunity to express their opinion on the matter, they would vote "neigh"
It can certainly be a stressful experience and weight loss is expected but they typically get over it quickly!
@@gmitchellfamily good one
Can’t imagine a horse flying in a box like that!

One of my family friend flies these! He loves them and takes me to the CAE center in Toronto occasionally to check out the sims.
Beautiful capturing ❤
I miss the AC 767s flying over my house every night on their way from YOW to FRA and LHR. They'd wake up my dog every night.

7:22 Never forget this amazing CF6
That is halarious, at the same time I was flying out of Calgary to Tokyo and it passed while my flight was leaving.
My plane is in the background at 3:03
Did 4 long haul flights between Europe and Vancouver on 767's. Recently on an A330 and a 777. Honestly I preferred the 767.
I've seen some of them making regular visits to both Atlanta & Miami.

great video man👍 The 767 looks real stunning in the AC livery one of my favorite aircraft
This looks amazing in new livery, sad that AC is cancelling some routes out of YYC.
Wow. That takeoff roll took at about 30 seconds
They don’t use full power on takeoff. Saves wear and tear on the engines. A crazy long runway with a stiff headwind doesn’t hurt.

Great video, Alex. That night pic was awesome! I’d be interested to know how much it costs to send fours horses first class to Calgary from Toronto. 😂
For some reason I find a 767 full of horses funny.
The Canadian goose livery was far superior as was the airline.
Thanks for posting eh 😊

was that one that lost its landing gear after departing madrid spain enroute to YYZ
I didn't know they did cargo
They started doing cargo fairly recently, Westjet also has a few 737-800 freighters for their cargo ops
Hm
Wonder why some don't have winglets
They have horses in Calgary?
Personally I think if the Cargo name was next to the leaf on the side of the fuse it would look better
I thought something looked out of place on IX
