      I love Twitch and I absolutely would have purchased a biography or memoir of him. But there is no way I would buy a book that describes his personal, private issues- especially journal entries, topics, that he himself didn’t authorize. It’s crossing a line of privacy that should never be crossed, even for a public figure. And by his loved one! Not even an enemy! To do it for money is simply gross.

Feels like such a betrayal to Twitch. I'm very pleased Twitches Mom is going public and defending her son. Twitch deserves better. I couldn't imagine moving on so fast.... 2 years has passed yes but woah... what if the new relationship doesnt work out? More trauma for kids. I dunno. @ineslazalde9629 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      What did she say that tarnishes his reputation? Being abused should not be something we are ashamed of. My thought is if the family treated the abuse as shameful and didn't get him the help he needed then she has every right to keep them away. I wouldn't let my kid around relatives that let abuse happen to a child. There should be no shame about admitting you were abused or that you had mental health issues and self-medicated. What scares me more is a society that thinks this tarnishes his memory. For me it's more how she talks about it which Zi haven't read. If she talks about how she thinks carrying this trauma alone was a factor in his depression and self-medicating as a way to help people I think that is good thing. If she writes it like celebrity scandal I think that's gross. But I don't think Twitch himself is less for these things happening to him.

    I wish we lived in a society where when we talk about someone being abused that it is something shameful. Keeping that secret probably did not help his depression. To me that is not hurting his image but showing he is human and that past trauma can take it's toll. I also don't think self medication is something that should bring shame. I think it's important to talk about because a lot of people do it and it can be a warning sign. I feel worried that the family ignored his abuse and made him keep it quiet. Honestly if that is the case I would not want them around my children.

    • @marcellamartin7293
      @marcellamartin7293 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +3

      I totally agree. I’ll bet the mom (or family) is trying to protect THEIR mishandling of what happened to Twitch as a little boy. Who took advantage of him, and what was the abusers relationship to the family? Twitch was a child when this happened, so where was mom and does SHE know anything. There are some secrets that the family is trying to keep under wraps here and are trying to scapegoat Alison to deflect having to account for what happened. Suicide loss is very complicated and layered (lost my brother 10 years ago). It is a very taboo subject in and of itself and the factors that may have led to the loved one taking their life can also be taboo. For men, it only keeps them from reaching out to get help and allows suicide to flourish in the shadows. Praying for this family. 🙏🏼❤️

Shouldn't he be discussing this with his wife, I mean that's what you are married for. You trust each other and go through ups and downs. This was the first thing that came to my mind when Twitch had killed himself, that why did he do this? He was not alone. He had a wife and 2 kids. Yet what reason was he unhappy for? She should just had kept it private. Celebrities claim they want privacy, and then they go ahead and do this for unnecessary attention.

    Not to be critical, but can people promote using correct terms when referred to such sensitive topics.
    it’s not something I was familiar with until getting suicide awareness training, which has trained staff members at schools to save lives.
    Something important I learned from the training is that the correct term is that someone “died or passed by suicide”, not “committed suicide”, to acknowledge the mental illness that is so common for people who suffer with depression, I would argue it is scientifically more accurate to say a person was lost or passed due to suicide, rather than “killed themselves or committed suicide”

    I don’t know. So many questions still. First as one who has lost a loved one to suicide, there are so many layers to this complicated grief, questions about why the loved one wanted to end their life. And sometimes, things are discovered (as in his case) that perhaps no one wants to be uncovered. Who was the person who took advantage of him? A family member or friend perhaps? Had to have been because he was a child. Does mom want to protect that persons identity? Perhaps this led to the family’s fall out with Allison? I believe there are likely other factors at play here, and the family does not want any of that known and maybe allison does. There is NO shame in what happened to twitch so why are they so eager to keep what happened under wraps. Perhaps knowing what really happened can help others struggling with the same demons Twitch struggled with. This is part of the complicated grief that suicide leaves behind. Prayers for the entire family. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

    Just generally speaking, not specific to this situation, I don't believe in "grandparents rights." In most cases the grandparents were horrible and the parents are protecting their kids from them. The courts usually don't know about abuse or just general bad parenting. You have to be convicted of child abuse before the courts protect the grandkids. This is much more common than people realize. I think it's your right to keep your kids away from people who you don't want influencing them.

    Im with Allison on this. She is the late wife and the mother of her own children. Therefore she shoud have the right to decide on what to tell the public. She is also the decider on who her children should be around before any extended family. If Twitch was raised in a wholesome abuse free family, then I would say that his mother should have a voice in decisions too but he wasn't. He was raised in a household with rapists and abusers and trauma after trauma. The kids are better off with Allison making the decisions. The last kid (Twitch) under his family's care was raped by family.

    She's not helping anybody by publishing his personal private journals. She's only helping herself to lots of money. She's not doing it for nothing she's getting something out of it, and it's money and publicity. Despite her claims that it's going to charity. I bet you won't hear a word about how much the charity makes from it. She should think of her children and have that information out in public. There is just no shame in some people.

    I don’t agree with the family. I don’t see this as tarnishing his legacy. He unalived himself. Clearly things were not well with him mentally. Also, I don’t think the kids are being withheld from the grandparent unnecessarily. I feel it has to do with the sexual assault Twitch experienced. Most SA of kids occurs by a family member. I have a feeling the grandmother knew about the SA and never turned in the suspect.

    Boss Mom and Allison are very similar. Both are airing family details with the public. Starting own charities as a non-expert is shady on most days and lame on a good day. Always go with an already well-established organization and amplify their work. That said, it doesn’t mean that tWitch was not abused as a kid or that families of most children who experience assault know how to advocate for their children; plenty deny and obfuscate facts because no one canceled chastity culture shame, or homophobia, or harmful ideals about what makes someone an admirable man. So, just because someone disagrees with what was made public about tWitch doesn’t mean that the wife was wrong to share it since she’s literally next of kin. People can disagree about the level of privacy. It doesn’t make one person more evil than the other.

She has a right to speak on her experiences and some will include him..... Now that I said all that I would like to add that I still find it cruel that she chose to speak on this part of his life that really didnt involve her besides a shoe box being found. . I think she is narcissistic and strange.
