    Very simple quote that I live by in Tekken: "Life is about a 1000 NO's and a few YES's" I'm never toxic or salty when I lose, I always come back and try again.

    I tell myself that I am glad there's such a high ceiling for me to improve when I'm losing

      I feel like there is so much to learn on this game. I just learned that when Laying on the ground, depending on which way you are laying or facing changes your wake up!

    'Think about it, whenever you go on a 10 game win-streak..'
    Yeah.. I wish I could relate. XD

    I feel ya! I was stuck in warrior for over week losing 80% of my battles and very little wins but i didn’t give up I kept practicing and learning ( Steve fox is my main) - I’m currently Eliminator rank and although I still get loses I get a lot of more wins and understand my main better now. Anyways don’t give up people!! Keep practicing:)

      Stev Fox mains unite! I talked about in my first video that I struggled with Steve being new, but my newest one from today I have went full Stev mode. He is so fin and unique! Also congrats on the promotions. This is game is definitely all about slow progression over time

    Your Tekken journey has been so similar to mine. From starting with button mashing with Lars to learning grappling with Dragonuv and ending up with Nina just by chance. I feel she is a really good character to learn all around Tekken. I feel like she has everything from pokes, punishers, strings, combos and grappling. Once i get comfortable i want to eventually play Yoshi or Kazuya

      There is something really fun about Nina. Where you know her skill ceiling is high but she helps you get used to hitting people high and low. Hitting low is something I've had to really think about when I'm fighting. Keep me updated on your Nina journey!

    Something else I wanted to say in regards to watching your gameplay, you definitely seem more calm and less stiff here. You pulled off some good combos and your poke selection seems good too. One thing I would definitely recommend is learning your character's punishers. A lot of times I would see your opponent do something unsafe and you would punish with a jab. Which is still good BTW. It shows you subconsciously try to punish you just don't have the optimal punishment.

      You ain't lying lol this probably would help more if I stayed with one character long enough to learn them 😭

      @@jaytimetalkgames here's some deep tekken knowledge I can help you with. Almost every character has a jab punish string which is 10 frames. Most characters also have a 13 frame down forward 1 string they can use as a punish as well. And as you know combo starters are 15 frames. Congratulations! You know the most important punishers for every character in the game XD

    Also when taking Ls try to record the loss and see why you're losing. It could be something as simple as one or two bad habits that you can change. I know that can be hard in the moment because we've all had meltdowns but it's a powerful tool to make you a better player. The other thing with strings is finishing the string is very unsafe. But stopping mid string makes it safe and like you said throws people off.

      Getting uses to not ending strings is a habit thats gotta be broken. Your brain tells you to push all the buttons. You are completely right by that

    Bro I feel you, I'm having the same experience with Asuka, I'm stuck in green ranks bruh

    • @jaytimetalkgames
      @jaytimetalkgames  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I tried asuka and I really struggled to get the hang of her more defensive playstyle. I think because people are more button push heavy in green. It can feel overwhelming playing a defense character, but don't let that stop you!

      Tbh, the main reason I picked up Asuka in the first place was because she was easy. @@jaytimetalkgames

    U just have to accept loses as lessons and see it as practice, not to take every fight personal, we go through thousands of fights, no point wasting energy or losing sleep over it. I respect players who are loyal to their main no matter what, I started using lee since Tekken tag 1, it took me years to get good with Lee and the wins feel waaaaaaay more rewarding.

    • @jaytimetalkgames
      @jaytimetalkgames  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lee is such a good character. I'm definitely going to come back. His unique playstyle is so fun, especially those perfect frames and hearing "excellent!"
