I currently GM Face to Face and online. I have a friend group, and I run a local library community group. Face to Face I feel is more social. Players can have side conversations without disrupting game play. I have friends from groups I use to play with years ago. Online groups, once I'm done, we all move on.

Face to face is definitely more social. It feels like more of an event than online play to me. On the other hand, for people who don’t have an in person group, online makes it easier to connect with friends from across the world!

@foolhardypress I think it gets harder, later in life, to make new friends. Which is why, in part, I started a library rpg group. So I could meet new people.

Problem is dnd in person is infinitely harder to set up. Especially if you dont have friends that can play with you.

I completely agree. We have *another* video where we talk about why virtual D&D is better (and that’s one of the main reasons)!

If you don't do it in person you miss so much. I hate watching a bunch of heads on a screen.

@@Grimmvolvo the interpersonal conversation is so much better. It makes it feel more like an event than a business meeting sometimes!
