I done a days training with them this year, and it was totally different on how you should pull a wheelie than I thought, and I have been riding bikes for 35 years, very good info and tuition. I only wish they done training nearer home, Scotland.
Hi there are some for 2021 available on their website now. Its not clutch up though, different method. Clutch up is the easy part tho after you learn the fundamentals. Thanks Aaron Knox
I was two weeks into owning a cbr500r, and with only two months of riding experience, I was popping first gear wheelies and getting pulled over lol Almost three years later, I ride a 2016 "FZ" MT09, and I can't keep the front tire down
Hi, its power wheelie with some extra techniques. Since being there developed the skills and now using clutch up a lot... but it's the basic skills and feelings that the training gives you that you can go away and build on. Thanks Aaron Knox
@@MasterOfTorque6871 guess we'd recommend going to check that out. It's their techniques theyve developed and teach and dont want to just give that away on TH-cam. Thanks Aaron Knox
Yes, MT-09 a lot easier to wheelie as it has the sudden punch down low.. Doing pretty well on the GSXR now, but if I want to start slower have to use the clutch to get it up. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
Hi, thanks for the comment. Well its mainly just fun. However, getting used to the feeling of the front wheel lifting and not panicking is great for all riding. Plus learning more throttle control and rear brake control is a great thing! Thanks, Aaron Knox 🤟
Why would they teach it on here for free? They are brilliant teachers, and I will be back for more. They acknowledge anyone can power wheelie in no time. Th teach safety and control 1st. 2 of the guys on my course were wheelie fanatics who were on their second lesson because they wanted to learn more control. Clearly worth every penny!
Definitely! Been working on that. Think its a case of getting used to the front wheel coming up and not just panicking and shutting the throttle. Trying to hold the throttle open throughout the wheelie which gives a much better landing! Thanks, Aaron Knox
Not really... its the perfect environment to learn it without risking yourself, your bike and others in the process. Gives a great foundation and having gone away and practiced a lot, I can wheelie pretty well now on almost any bike. Thanks Aaron Knox
Wheelie schools are lame as fu%$. I learned the old school way and I'm pretty young. All I did was buy a wrecked mt07 for $500, i didn't want to wreck my brand new mt09, and in one day, I became really really good.
I dont think thats fair, its about our experience learning how to wheelie. And honestly, on the road, we wouldnt recommend just learning it yourself as its too dangerous, we'd advise going to a school like this. Thanks Aaron KNOX :)
Sorry you feel like that... I wouldn't put a video like that on TH-cam teaching you the steps on how to wheelie a road bike. In my honest experience and from learning and now decent at pulling safe and controlled wheelies myself, I feel it is too dangerous without proper training and certainly not the sort of content I would want to be putting out there. End of the day, on a road bike, depending on what bike you have got, you are coming down from the wheelie anywhere from 40-70mph on a power wheelie and getting it wrong at those speeds is dangerous and could wreck your bike. If you have a dirt bike and are on grass/dirt, I don't have the same issues as the risk is a lot lower and a dirt bike is designed to be crashed. Our genuine recommendation on a road bike is to go to a school like this where you are taught by experts on how to wheelie properly, controlled and safely in a safe environment. This video was about our experience doing that and the fun involved and I would recommend Extreme wheelie training 100%. Many thanks, Aaron KNOX.
allinall777 OK totally understand where you are coming from. Of course, you can work it out and there are quite a few TH-cam videos on how to do it.. I know because I got so far by following these type of TH-cam videos and of course you can learn this way. Its just in my opinion, the margin for error is really slim and its quite risky. Again, when it comes to an off road bike or something, then go for it, but I think because the risk is higher on this, imo its better to learn from an expert. In comparison, I'm totally happy to show how to on things like rolling burnouts because this imo has a lot less risk factor, th-cam.com/video/MoVxjUkF4_E/w-d-xo.html. 😀😀
If you believe pulling wheelies is the holy grail of riding a motorcycle then zi would suggest you wait to go through puberty until you get a bike. Yes it is fun to pop up the front wheel, it is fun to roll on the front with the back in the air. However real riders know that the true skill in riding a motorcycle is the ability to take corners like a boss. It is all very good and well playing around, and understanding this control helps, but get real, cruising effortlessly away from other riders is so much cooler than poping a wheelie.
@@warrenseiboth3466 Not that I really have to justify anything to you but my bike history removing pre license bikes are cbr400rr, GSXR600RR (full Akro and dyno), Buell X1 Lightening Viper Stripe, CBR900RR, TL1000S (Full Akro and PC3), Husky T210e, Aprillia SL1000, GSXR750RR and currently FZ1N. I have also had Honda XR500 which was a wheelie monster. For work I had multiple CB1's and Bros 400, ST1100, FJ900 (great fun to wheelie surprisingly), Deuville (also a real laugh to wheelie just to see peoples faces), a couple of FZ6, a couple of CB600f, and probably a few more that I have forgotten. Not many cruisers in there though. So maybe with your newbie experience you feel wheelieing is where it is at, but when you grow some hair on your balls you will come to realise it is childs play and have better road skills is what sorts the men from the boys. And for the record, nothing wrong with cruisers if that's what people want to ride, as long as they aren't cunts it's ok right?
@@DuncanLongden ha ha ive been riding 40 years lots of bikes probably 25 all up i love watching people wheelies it does take some skill as long as they dont hurt themselves dont be so sensitive i have had cruisers as well
I'm up for a bit of this! Thanks for the video👍🏼
Holy fuck I've never been so bored watching a video about wheelies.
Wow looks like so much fun, I'm a 72-year-old just got back into motorcycles after 40 years ,wish there was a school in the US!
I'm 66 Just bought a 2022 MT 09 i'd love to learn this control ! in Australia :)
Now when you can take riding wheelies and turn it into a profitable business THAT is a badass !
Nothing like the high u get from wheelies!
;)
wanna learn how to wheelie? BP wheelies? buy a 125, clutch ups, rear brake, practice practice practice that's all you need to know
It would be amazing to see this here in the States
Hi, yes they are looking to expand, but probably not across the pond!! ;) Aaron, Knox
There are lots of wheelie schools in the U.S. Google is your friend.
could you tell the company that sells these wheelytrainigsbars? Greets from germany, would be great! (even if its a half custom buidlt to the mt/fz07

I live round the corner from this wheelie school in York ill be off there 100% at some point
Any biker from here that don't want to learn how to wheelie? I don't think😀 this is a great video guys 👏👏
Yeah, but how much does it cost?
Wish they had this in California
Where are you. I want to go to learn
Hi, its in the UK, but there are schools in a few countries. We went to EXTREME Wheelie school. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
How about mt3? Can it pop wheelies?
Yes definitely, in fact that is the bike we'll be riding on the next and more advanced course. Thanks Aaron Knox
I missed the part where we are shown how to wheelie like the TITLE says 😒
Did you learn clutch ups or power wheelies?

is there any benefit to make a wheelie? or just is for fun?

made it 8 seconds into this video with that music haha had to bounch
When practising, learn to drop the front wheel gently. Otherwise you'll mess up the whole front in no time.
