    These videos of yours are by far my favorite. I know it’s probably harder to get you channel to grow, if you talk about controversial topics, but its so much more interesting than news or haunting stories. The ASMR in those videos is also good of course, but what sets your channel apart are videos like this!

    I don't listen to ASMR that often anymore, don't really know the reason but sometimes I do if I can't get sleep.
    These are the best videos to do so, whisper ramble. It's interesting to hear life stories of someone and I think it takes away the focus of other stuff going in your mind and then you wake up at morning realizing that you actually fell asleep😂 happens to me like every time I watch ASMR, anyway. I'ma continue watching the video.

    I was an indoctrinated Christian from birth as well and finally got out in my 30s. The methods used on impressionable youngsters, not only from the church, but from parents is very strong. A weight came off me when I finally was able to release from the stranglehold of religion.
    Living in a finite existence can certainly be viewed as scary, which is how religion jumps in on those feelings to offer infinite existence but with a trade off of course.
    But, living in a finite existence has made me appreciate everything so much more. I cherish my human experiences, hold myself accountable to others with my morals and ethics, and removed so much hate and judgement of others that Christianity indoctrinated into me.
    Good for you and your journey. To each their own, but not when it impacts others or by telling people straight lies about mythical hell/heaven to scare them into believing.

    I study Literature at university in Germany. Since I had to chose a minor, I chose American Cultural Studies without thinking much of it. However, it turned out to be extremely interesting and since much of US culture and psychology is rooted in Puritanism and Christianity in general (the US has a very peculiar way of practicing christianity in comparison to the rest of the world, even to this day - or especially today…) I learned a lot about christianity as well. I am an atheist and never really had much contact with the church, except for what you inevitably see and hear along the way. But I got so fascinated that I actually picked up some theology courses for two semesters and I read the entire old testament and parts of the new testament. This really changed my view on the world around me and the way we live in western society and why we live this way. I am an atheist to this day and although I - as I have always done - encourage anyone to practice their religion freely (as long as no harm is inflicted on others), I am truly shocked by that book. Looking at christian practices now, with the knowledge of what it is all based on, I cant help but see the insanity and the cult that hides within it. I know some amazing people who are christians, I now a pastor who is a very good friend of my family, but I will never be able to make my peace with the worshipping of such a god, such a flawed moral and logic and all the cultural and sociological structures that have historically resulted from this crazy book. I find it deeply unsettling and since I have read it, I find it deeply unsettling too when people use terms such as „our divine lord“, „our savior“, „the holy mother“ etc…. Its such a HUUGE topic but I absolutely understand why you lost your faith.
    on the other hand, a german politician once said: „I dont believe in god, but I am afraid of a godless society“

    • @ASMRReality
      @ASMRReality  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great comment! Thank you! As for the godless society...take a look at Japan. 98% of that country claim no religion. There is nothing to fear but unity if we ditch the fiction books.

      I'm a Christian and I'm also sometimes shocked by the Old Testament (that's why I'm not Jewish :-) and I haven't read it all yet. But that is precisely why I much prefer the New Testament and it makes much more sense to me. And if you are interested in Christianity, you should definitely read the New Testament, Christianity is based on it and thus part of our European and also American culture. This was also one of the reasons why Jesus came to this earth to explain the Old Testament and to say that we should not observe something, he added something, he corrected something.

    • @ASMRReality
      @ASMRReality  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SamuraJCZSamuraJ-CZ Matthew 5:17 makes clear that Jesus did not change any of these laws. He simply came so that we are not punished by death in this life for them. We can ask forgiveness through him but they are all still sins.

    As a Christian I find these videos extremely interesting. Mainly because you've clearly genuinely sought out God, but did not find him (so far at least, I like that you keep your mind open).
    They also give me interesting topics to delve into myself, e.g. Satan not being the serpent in the garden. So thank you for that :)
    I do think there's some contradictions in your thinking though. For example you say, "Religion is why we can't get along, why we fight wars, why we can't unify" and then you say, "if everyone was Christ-like, the world would be an amazing place".
    So is it Christ and the example that he set that's the problem? Or is it the people (myself included) who struggle and stumble and fail to resist the temptations of evil?
    I think you also misunderstand the gospel. You say, "I'm a good person", and I do not doubt that you've done some genuinely good works in your life backed by a sincere heart. But the Bible says, "by works of the law no one will be justified." In other words, "by their good works, no one will be justified".
    Come judgement day, God will judge you based on whether you've kept his moral law: the Ten Commandments.
    Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever used the Lord's name in vain? Have you ever lusted after a woman in your heart (Jesus says that's the same as adultery)?
    If you've done all these things, that would make you a liar, a thief, a blasphemer and an adulterer. Are you innocent or guilty? Heaven or hell?
    Your good works won't save you my friend. Only by placing your trust in Jesus Christ who perfectly kept all the commandments and who took your place and died the death you should have died and took the punishment that you deserved on the cross. Only by placing your trust in Christ will you not come into judgement, but pass from death to life.
    Much love brother, I appreciate you and the effort you put into making these videos for us

    • @ASMRReality
      @ASMRReality  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      My reference to "if everyone was like Christ the world would be a better place" was referencing if we were all united. The same could be said if we were all buddhists or muslims. The fact is very few Christians become Muslims and vice versa. We will never unite as one under a religion. Everyone thinks their book is right.

    • @eltyo340
      @eltyo340 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ASMRReality Look I'm not trying to corner you or have a "gotcha" moment, but you also said you believed Osama bin Laden was being true to his religion. I actually agree with you there, but you have to recognise that it's not true that if we were all devout followers of one book (pick a book, any book) then the world we be a better place. As you have noted, it turns out *which* book *matters*.
      And you can actually come up with a test for which book is true because they have conflicting claims about the truth. Jews say Jesus died and didn't rise again, Muslisms say Jesus never died, Christians say Jesus died and rose again. So, it's up to the seeker of truth to look at the evidence and make up their mind on which claim the evidence points to.
      I would also go so far as to say that even if every single person in the world was a devout follower of Christ, the world would be better, yes, but there would still be sin, as the Bible says, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Thus there would still be suffering.
      The problem of the human condition - that is, our current tendency to sin - runs so deep and has such a profoundly negative impact on the world, that for suffering to become a thing of the past, and for there to be "no more pain" as God has promised, there has to be a new heavens and a new earth and even a new physical body for the believer that is "raised in power".
      Obviously this is no excuse to just trash the earth we're living on now, because God has called us to take good care of the earth. He is rightly angry when we treat it poorly.

    Growing up a Jehovah's Witness I appreciate hearing you speak of their devotion and attempt to truly live by the Bible. It's an organization of imperfect people though with man's influence. That's the problem with all religion in my opinion and it would be all but impossible for me to go another denomination because I find more fault in other religions' teachings than how I was raised. I also cannot believe there is no higher power. Yes, if we all acted as "Christians" instead of professing Christianity (or whatever god/religion) the world would be an amazing place without us judging each other and fighting to push our religion onto others.

      Hebrews 10:25 says "Do Not foresake the Assembling." You need to gather with other like minded individuals. Having a clear definition of what you and others believe is critical.
