this made me cry. its good to know someone else understands what im going through. watching this video was like looking in a mirror. from the splints and special made shoes to the stroller and walking down the stairs. it is such an emotional toll on you and all your loved ones. and you try to be normal and hang out with friends and go out but you get tired so fast and cant keep up. i was diagnosed when i was 2. im turning 23 next month and i just finished having both my knees replaced.
Hi Narlar, You can mention your concerns to a parent or your doctor, and ask them to fully explain the process to you. Your splints will support and protect your wrists and should hinder the use of your joints as little as possible. They will just take a bit of getting used to but once you are comfortable with them they should be a great help to you. I am 14 and I have arthritis. I don’t have it that bad yet but I know it may happen. I am thinking about getting a service dog to cope with the real and emotional pain.
I know this might be hard to remember, but do you have any advice on taking methotrexate? I was diagnosed at age 8. And I struggle with taking my medication, as it makes me feel physically sick. I want to be able to take so I can do more things that my friends do now. But I can't because I am so ill thinking about it, never mind having to take it.
Methotrexate is chemotherapy so the symptoms you are having are pretty common. Ask your doctor to prescribe you zofran or pheneghan to take before the methotrexate and it should help a lot.
Wha if as the joint cartilage didn't blend with another joint cartilage as a slight mis fit and its irregularity then as the synolial fluid didn't smoothly move. It's in a way like a slight grid between them..bad. Description o know. But tje condroitin and glucosamine. Causes joint resmppthing at joints. Or what if the there is automine battle that needs anti inflammatory that soothes it down.?
It depends. With Juvenile Arthritis, some children "grow out of it", most commonly ones with pauciarticular (4 or less joints), so it's generically possible. Generally what this means is that they reach remission. Though it doesn't really cure itself. As for me, I have polyarticular (5+ joints; every moveable joint in my body is affected) and I'll never grow out of it. I'm already on the cusp of adulthood. There's a chance, but there's also a chance that you could live with it forever.
Can this possibly related somewhat to the sun. Odd as it sounds can it be affecting something. More sun..less cancer. Seasonal sun is related to flu. The most sun aareas get less multiple scleroma. Cancer patients live longer who sit in the sun more. The sun affects over than easily gen systems responses as I understand it. I've once heard described the sun as a battery..pull back ur sleeves and sit in it a sensible while, maybe this might help someone. I'm sorry I can't do more.
Doubtful. This isn't a sun related disease. It's autoimmune. I've had it since I was 9 months old, and I got plenty of sun. You can also get cancer from the sun though too, so I honestly doubt it.
My granddaughter had jia in her left knee, she was given a steroid injection under general anaesthetic and it totally vanished never to reoccur thank God. They called it idiopathic because that’s meant to mean they don’t know the cause, but I’m sure it’s childhood vaccines that cause it, so the cure would be to find out how to detox from that muck.
Then why did it affect children in previous, pre-vaccination times as well? Or children from anti-vaxxers? If you would rather have a dead child and be to blame for causing an outbreak among its peers than a child with JIA, then idk what to tell you. Also, my condolences to your loss, I’m assuming she has passed away as you’re talking in past sense. Though I hope that you’re just misinformed and think that JIA is curable.
