When I was young, in my grand parents village, when it was winter I loved the sound of fire and from the wind. We use to have a cat, and she love to sleep under my blanket purring all the night. Best sleep ever

I grew up in a little village in the woods and my FAVOURITE sound was the howling wind and whooshing of snow during big blizzards. We'd have snow around my father's cedar house up to the roof, which was about 10 feet lol.
And there would be ice layered on the branches of the trees so thick, it would encase the branches and twinkle like diamonds in the sunlight
hahaha mind the fleas.
Alas, I am NOT young... But the sound of living in a small village really appeals to me! I suppose being immersed in the footage of nearby bldgs on fire, the looters & destruction of the week, is not helping much! But I really dig the imagery of these comments, this channel as a whole! Shirley Qualls It has the opposite effect on me. The sound and smell of rain makes me happy. I love to be home on a rainy day (or night) all comfy, cozy and dry while the earth is getting a drink.
I grew up in Texas where summers were usually sunny, hot and dry. Rainy days were a treat. I would raise my bedroom window slightly, lie down with my feet propped up on the window sill and let the rain tickle my feet. My mother walked in once and saw me doing this. She just backed out quietly and closed the door, leaving me alone in my reverie.
It soothes my soul.

What a beautiful bedroom. I love the window. That thunderstorm makes it so spooky. Id love to have a fireplace in my room.
For anyone scrolling.. here’s a random poem thing I’ve been working on while listening to this beautiful video.
The Beat:
The music playing in my ears is comforting, the soothing tune running through my head. Feeling the soft cool grass underneath me, I examine the area around my body. Dead grass in different spots of the field, fall is settling in. I’m laying on my back with my chest facing upward toward the trees that hang over me. In the distance, there is a soft rumble of thunder as a storm passed by. Goosebumps take form when a cool breeze runs me over, watching as the tree sways in the wind, one by one leaves of all different sorts of colors fall in an unpatterned direction. With my music still playing a pleasurable feeling, a tear starts to run down the side of my temples. Not tears of sorrow but water that makes me realize,
“ This is one of the most peaceful moments I have ever experienced,” I say out loud.
Focusing on the words, i'm reminded of all the troubles I went through and what i'm still going through till this day. The thought of this makes my face sob, this is what made me, this is what has shaped me into who I am today, as a human it's a part of me. I am who I am by what I listen to. I begin to repeat this same thought in my mind over and over again. The song changes and im overcomed by a new feeling, something that I try to express with others. A few minutes pass and another song comes on, now i'm thinking of a moment I want to happen to me. Music makes me want to be everything, to travel, to smell the cup of coffee that was freshly brewed, taste the sweet candy that's melting in my mouth, to touch someone's soft lips against mine. I look at the time and i see that two hours has passed, surprised that no one thought I passed out or something and came to check on me.
“Just one more,” I mumbled, I pick up my phone and pick a song. Listening to the beat, beating against my eardrums. I drift away.
That was really beautiful. I envisioned myself under that peaceful tree 🌳. Thank you for sharing. 😑🙏

I am watching this for the first time. Got to say wish this was my bedroom. Love the cosy warm vibe. I would sleep like a baby in here. Just noticed the cat. I have one just like it at the end of my bed with 3 others as its winter here in nz and theres a bad frost out there. Cats know it and keeping me warm on this cold night. Unbeknownst to us all, there is not only an adorable cat in this video, there is also a magnificent German Shepherd. He is, however, at the moment, hiding under the bed, equally as terrified of both the storm AND the cat. He will emerge from his place of refuge once the storm has stopped or once you have arrived to reassure him repeatedly or bribe him with cheese or his favorite squeaky toy.
My cat will sit and watch this on the big screen tv and be mesmerized by the sounds and the sleepy cat.

This bedroom is so warm and glowing. Mine is all white shabby chic. This makes me want to add that beautiful warm copper brown. Love the sliding glass door also seeing the rain coming down. I love the nearby lightning as most videos seem to rely upon it as background effect. Also again, the cat which somehow begs for hugs under the covers while displaying feline awesomeness, despite the loud racket. Makes you wonder how many dogs are cowering under the bed....lol.

Just wish it was longer, I am in a nursing home, and there are noises all hours of the night. Nurses station is right outside my door so don't get much sleep because of noise.

I had the same identical cat. This made me cry. It’s good luck. My cat JJ is looking down upon me. He just past away from cancer and he was 15 yrs old. I was amazed once I came across this beautiful relaxing video thank you for bringing me hope. I just am so shocked how identical this cat is compared to mine. Very mesmerizing and magical. I closed the window, pulled the curtain down, turned on the cold air conditioner, and opened this video. The rain made me remember my childhood days, when it rained all day, my sister and I were in our old house, studying or playing, waiting for my parents to return after a day of work; then we had dinner together, watched TV, and then went to sleep. There was no internet, no facebook, no smartphone ... just the sound of rain like that, with trees, with insects, slightly chilly weather and feeling of peace.
