Ridge dramatically framing Brooke as his life saver is 🤮. So in essence, he almost died losing the love of his life, his wife, Taylor. Taylor’s homecoming should have elicited way more emotion from her devastated husband. This storyline should have played out differently…with Ridge having some tear filled, passionate encounters with Taylor before he chooses Brooke and the children.
Agreed. Ridge had more emotion the time he was looking at Taylor's photo and imagining she was in his living room than when she was actually in front of him 🥴
That's what Eric tried and what Caroline did, isn't it? But that only works if the spouse does not contest it (eg Eris-Stephanie) and if Ridge gets a residency there for a while (even if he then keeps living with his parent in LA, like Caroline did).
Nevermind "good girl" or "bad girl" definitions, but on B&B neither Brooke nor Taylor are allowed to really make a break with past lover interests. They always keep being _friends_ . Taylor: *Omar* has been Taylor's captor, but still will always be seen as her savior too and that he only has acted out of love. *James* has been a burden to her marriage and it has led to Taylor committing adultery, but James still gets to be Taylor's good friend and confidante, even when Taylor is aware that James still has these romantic feelings for her. ven when *Blake* had had a physical fight with Taylor's husband before he left for good, he still was supposed to be a good friend/confidante for his ex-wife (despite his secret actions) Brooke: Brooke has hurt *Connor* and *James* because of her feelings for Ridge, has rejected one's engagement ring and returned the other's, but both still are supposed to be her friends and claim to care about her. Brooke still kept one as her lawyer and the other as family friend, both got invited to her wedding and James got invited to a family dinner at Christmas time. Neither *Eric* nor *Ridge* have ever blamed Brooke for her actions when it concerned _love_ . Father and son blamed each other. (Eric only got angry when Brooke ended up with half of FC. And now Eric seems to have let go of that anger) Even *Dave* wasn't allowed to be angry when he got dropped, but still had been worrying about his ex-fiance's happiness. (blamed Ridge)
You are right - I never really thought of that! So far, neither Taylor nor Brooke has ever had what one might call a "bad breakup". I guess it's because the writers want to keep all the options open so every past romantic relationship can be revisited.

What disappoint me is that Brooke and Ridge talk about Taylor as a the great challenge of their relationship, the threat. Taylor went to hell and they are happy because they manage to be together despite her. They succeede to overcome what? Taylor was never a threat and Ridge said it too yesterday when he told Brooke he wanted to stay with her in his heart after Taylor returned.
I noticed Ridge has made no mention of the children. He loves Brooke and wants to be with her. Even though it wont be, it's nice to know he picked her for her and not the kids.
He does mention them at the end. But mostly Ridge is telling Brooke how much he loves her and why she means so much to him. He also talks about how happy he is to be a father…and would never leave his family. All of this conversation foreshadowing what is to come…trouble down the road for Bridge. 😒 The long winding trail of roadblocks to Bridge. There will be roadblocks for Tridge as well. 😮 Adding…just keep the Faith. Because Bridge will have their time again in the 2000s…🥰👍
Did they end getting married in 6 months or does bridgets paternity come out before they say I do? I also recall Brooke has an episode where she ends up in Barbados with two dolls
Bridgetts paternity is revealed Brooke has a break down and goes to Barbados and believes the dolls are her kids Ridge finds her and brings her home He plans to still marry her regardless of Bridgett not being his. They don’t get married because he sees her kissing Grant He proposes to Taylor instead Brooke explains it was a goodbye kiss ,and Ridge furious still plans on marrying Taylor who accepted his quickie proposal Brooke tells Ridge that if he doesn’t stop her she will then marry Grant Ridge races to stop Brooke ,but is too late she already married Grant . Ridge marries Taylor
Ridge is selfish. He forces Brooke to get close to Taylor to help her get over her pain. If I were Taylor, I would refuse. Ridge should own his decision.
But Omar wasn’t the whole problem…Taylor kept up the charade for too long. There were numerous times Taylor could have revealed herself to Ridge and she didn’t…😠
It's annoying watching how ridge and Brook are always petting each other's faces.

Man, Connor was the most underused hunk on this show and possibly soaps in general. The closest thing he had to a relationship was Brooke and her mind was on Ridge the whole time. Yes, there was Karen (before she came out), but that was never much of anything. The only real action he got was with Sheila, and she was only using him as a sperm donor. He should have been front and center with the ladies in this version of L.A. instead of the ladies throwing themselves at Ridge. Even Maggie just used Connor as a way of seeing Dylan.
Agreed. Ridge had more emotion the time he was looking at Taylor's photo and imagining she was in his living room than when she was actually in front of him 🥴
Yep. 😳
Taylor should be with Omar where she is loved unconditionally
😂😂🙈
If Ridge wants a quickie divorce all he have to do is go to Nevada and probably get it within a couple of days I guess he didn’t think of that.
*James* has been a burden to her marriage and it has led to Taylor committing adultery, but James still gets to be Taylor's good friend and confidante, even when Taylor is aware that James still has these romantic feelings for her.
ven when *Blake* had had a physical fight with Taylor's husband before he left for good, he still was supposed to be a good friend/confidante for his ex-wife (despite his secret actions)
Brooke: Brooke has hurt *Connor* and *James* because of her feelings for Ridge, has rejected one's engagement ring and returned the other's, but both still are supposed to be her friends and claim to care about her.
And now Eric seems to have let go of that anger)
Even *Dave* wasn't allowed to be angry when he got dropped, but still had been worrying about his ex-fiance's happiness. (blamed Ridge)
You are right - I never really thought of that! So far, neither Taylor nor Brooke has ever had what one might call a "bad breakup". I guess it's because the writers want to keep all the options open so every past romantic relationship can be revisited.
