  • In Guinea, 39% of people were drinking contaminated water. That’s why UNICEF got involved by creating wells to provide safe water to communities. Using low-cost augers, UNICEF helped create over one hundred jobs and training opportunities.
Schools and health clinics now have running water. Children no longer have to travel long distances to fetch water and can spend more time in school.
Since the overall program started, the number of people drinking contaminated water has already dropped by 120,000. Based on this huge success to date, UNICEF is ready to take this project to the next level. With your help, UNICEF can drill hundreds more wells, integrating solar power, and improve the lives of thousands more people.
