Ok I love the news anchor you sent to interview Snake Discovery. It's so nice seeing someone genuinely excited to get up close and personal with the reptiles instead of being terrified and nervous
It was so refreshing to see your anchor excited about the whole experience. So many are so nervous and scared, which is understandable, but I love seeing her childish glee at holding a snake and seeing a tortoise and watching Rex.
I deeply appreciate that the anchor is either sincerely happy to meet the animals, or doing a stellar job presenting herself as though she is. That goes so far toward helping audiences understand these animals
Snake Discovery is arguably the best channel to watch if you are interested in getting into reptiles. So much knowledge and care even for their breeder reptiles and feeder rodents. All get enrichment and substrates, no plain paper totes here. They are of the highest standard I have ever seen and one more keepers and breeders need to rise up to match or exceed. Clint's Reptiles is also a very solid channel when trying to learn or pick what is the best pet for you.
@danielwerner5882 No he was not and I wish people would stop saying he was some great keeper. The way he kept his breeding animals disgusted me. Five Leopard geckos crammed in a bin not even 5g in size was abhorrent. All his snakes in nothing but empty bins with a water dish and a piece of paper. Normally I keep my thoughts on him to myself, especially because I had heard he had passed through the reptile grape vine, but I am starting to get annoyed at everyone talking him up like he was amazing. Maybe he changed years later, I'll admit I gave up watching anything of his sometime in 2018, not the least bit impressed, but I doubt it. I discovered Snake Discovery first, and I am glad I did. They more than proved you can properly take care of all your pets, be they for sale or feeding to others. They all have substrate and enrichment and hides. They are who the reptile world should be looking towards for proper care.
@@danielwerner5882I would recommend watching a video titled "The Problem with Prehistoric Pets and the Reptile Zoo." There are some really crappy practices outlined in that video. Things Emily from Snake Discovery (and other reputable breeders/handlers) specifically say *not* to do, for good reason. I wouldn't personally recommend Prehistoric Pets as a good source of info for anyone. I'd rather send people to Snake Discovery or Clint's Reptiles instead.
@@larimatolaganon4946Brian did more for the reptile world than Snake Discovery ever will. Snakes do not mind tubs, they actually prefer to be hidden in small spaces.
I came here for the Snake Discovery footage but that interviewer was so respectful and wonderful! So many people are afraid to touch reptiles but she handled them all so well! :D
No way! Emily made it onto the news! That's so cool. It's great to see reptiles in the media in a positive light, for once. They are always so negative and slanderous in the media, especially when it comes to snakes. As a keeper of constrictors big and small, as well as my true passion of venomous snakes, it makes me so happy to see something like this! It's up to us to educate people so we can protect these amazing animals! People fear snakes because they just don't understand them, and unfortunately, sometimes people kill them because of that. We can make a change, and I will continue devoting my life to the conservation of these animals.
I would also like to echo I LOVE that Kristen was just so fascinated. Even seeing Rex eat up close, which had to be mildly terrifying 😂 Just so happy to be there and handling the animals quite readily. Thanks for covering SD! 🐍💚
Omg yes. So many people freak out at everything an animal expert brings out and you can tell it's just staged stuff. Refreshing to have someone just excited to see animals doing stuff up close.
Snake Discovery is the BEST! And your anchor did a tremendous job checking out the zoo's inhabitants (I loved her reaction to the tortoise.) Guys, take your kids there-- one of the best gifts you can give a child is first-hand knowledge, and that's the place I'd go to get it!
Snake Discovery is amazing! Thank you for shining a spotlight on great facilities like these which give people the opportunity to have positive interactions with reptiles and learn how incredible these animals truly are!
I haven't been to the facility yet, it's on my bucket list, but I have adopted a baby hognose from them. She is doing wonderful. Emily, Ed and their entire crew are fantastic. Their care and commitment to animals is clear in everything they say and do. Great to see them on the news!
Love ed and emily!!❤️ hands down best youtube channel on this platform, been watching since “feed my pet Friday” keep up the great work and content ❤️❤️💚🐍🦎!!!
Wow my son is currently doing work experience at our local shop they do animal encounters like you do. He has this week cleaned out a skunk, played with two retics, fed a tegu and been pooped on by two baby cornsnakes. He's loved every minute of it
So nice to see a news reporter that's not overly nervous of the animals and willing to get up close and personal with what so many of us call our beloved pets
Go Emily! So cool seeing that anchor being so enthusiastic about the reptiles. Snake discovery is best! Even if you dont have reptiles they are entertaining snd interesting to watch and learn!
Been a huge fan of Snake Discovery for nearly four years! If you're even a little interested in reptiles I cannot reccomend their TH-cam channel enough ❤
Knowledge overcomes fear! Kids are far more likely to be hurt by a vending machine than a snake. Snake Discovery is a great channel, the reptile community is good for kids and adults alike! Soon to open in Michigan, the Legasea!
While its been nice seeing Ed featuring more in Snake Discovery videos, I can only imagine he's hiding in the office doing "inventory" while this was being shot lolol
just a tip, at Snake Discovery never assume sex by the animals names, they have been known to swap boy and girl names, Most well known example; Brad the female Bullsnake and her main mate Janet the male bullsnake.
Really love that the lady was not being overly dramatic with the reptiles and made it actually seem fun to visit snake discovery. Interesting to see how 2 different shows can cover the same topic so differently. Definitely prefered this one😊
I can't tell you how refreshing it is to see an jnterview where the reporter isn't making a fuss and acting scared of every animal they see. I think the reporter was great! Props to her 😊
You never can assume gender for the pets with Emily and Ed. Some snakes in the Zoo have intresting parents. Yes, im talking about Papa Janet and mother Brad.
Snake Discovery (and Brad (RIP) ) are what has helped me work on a phobia I have had since I was a kid. Used to be I couldn't even see a garter snake without being terrified. I'm doing a LOT better now.
Thank you so much for featuring our reptile zoo! Rex the alligator loved meeting Kristin and getting a special treat for the camera :)
SO CUTEEEE 💕
Here from Emily channel. I’ve been watching a bunch of videos I’ve missed today.
I saw you were on Jason again. I still have to go watch it.
@ SnakeDiscovery Give Rex a kiss for me
Love you (in a non-parasocial way lol)
Ok I love the news anchor you sent to interview Snake Discovery. It's so nice seeing someone genuinely excited to get up close and personal with the reptiles instead of being terrified and nervous
She looked like she was having the time of her life and not just putting on an act for the segment.
That's exactly what I thought! This woman is soo sweet
She's adorable!! And tiny ❤
Agreed, she was great!
*cough* Jason *cough*

I agree....most would be scared and grossed out
Yeah, I think at first it was a bit "Oh jeez" scared before quickly morphing into "this is SO COOL!"
* Free roaming tortoise appears *
Kristin: "I love this place!"
I could not agree more with her!

Brian Barczyk is the best (RIP) Glad Noah is keeping up his legacy and Prehistoric Pets. Clints is also very good.

VERY relatable

I believe she has one other time as well, on the home station of Jason's show
@@legendofaydaYes! Emily and Ed have so many viewers now, it's more like the news made it on Snake Discovery. 😂

Reporter was so amazing and “hands on” -kudos!!!
Emily has a real knack for being interviewed. Great to see Snake Discovery is getting more recognized as time passes. Here as a long-time fan of them
That was amazing coverage for snake discovery!!! And the lady was great and didnt "freak out" for the LOLS. Great segment!

Glad you showcased Emily & Snake Discovery. She & Ed are wonderful reptile ambassadors and love all of their animals.

This reporter was incredible!
i love how Kristin seemed so at peace with the reptiles. often people are scared but i think it helps a lot to have expert Emily around.
2:08 damn hall monitors never quit 😂
What an awesome interview and news spot!!! Love her enthusiasm and energy for all the reptiles!!!! 🎉💚
Thank you for having snake discovery on your channel. 5 minutes to destigmatise reptiles can be enough for some people to get curious.
LOVED the reporter! Her energy and excitement was wonderful to see!
Made my day! Snake Discovery is "Granny Approved "!!!
Snake Discovery is amazing! Thank you for shining a spotlight on great facilities like these which give people the opportunity to have positive interactions with reptiles and learn how incredible these animals truly are!
News Anchor of the Year right here guys! What a delight! I"m so sick of the 'ew snakes and reptiles' reaction that this was fun!
I love how excited Kristin was during her visit. It's always nice to see reporters like the stuff they do in an authentic way.
Emily on her way to being the next Steve Irwin! Go Emily! Go!
This was so fun! It was cool to see how excited Kristin was to interact with all the animals. 💚
I'm so proud of Emily and Ed!!!!!!!! This made me smile so hard. So much hard work has gone into this!
