South India is doing much better than the North in terms of pride of their own language and culture. If there is something to be learnt from the French, it's the pride they take in their language, and refusal to adopt English or even converse in English despite knowing it. Go to Paris and see it for yourself. We Indians need to stop our obsession with English and stop making a big fuss out of it. It's just a darn language, it doesn't entail intelligence / knowledge from any angle. The content is much more important than the box.

These are south Indian languages but doesn't mean Tamil speaking good in Telugu and other languages. This is like north Indian can understand almost all north Indian language like Punjabi, Haryanvi, pahiri, Gujarati, Kashmiri, Rajasthani etc. but we can't speak all of them
