    Clearly, you are not a beginner since you have all the tools and not beginner tools either. The Ikea hacks work for you and you customized them wonderfully. I would love to see you make a custom pull-out organizers for the blind corner upper and lower cabinets that are approximately 12" x 29" and 26" x 29" respectively for old 1960s kitchen cabinets. Also, I tried to click on your links for beginner saw and landed on a style page instead of a product page.

      They're affiliate links and are all broken for me too...I wish she wrote out the names of the tools so that we can still google search for them even when the links don't work anymore.

      My dad made pull-out drawers for my kitchen cabinets. It was the first time he did that kind of project. He made the drawers from scratch using a hammer and nails. I don't remember what he used to cut the wood. Maybe a circular saw. So yes, this project can be done by a beginner with minimal tools. If you don't want to buy any tools, don't DIY.

    AWESOME JOB - well done!! You have inspired me to do my own cabinets. There is so much wasted space when you have a few plates or cups on the bottom of a cabinet and nothing else!!

    I was happy to see the process. I agree with others discouraging particle board. Spills, someone standing on it to reach something up high, etc and the whole thing is landfill. Again, though, love the design, the process and your enthusiasm. Thank you.

    This looks great, and I really like that you designed something that works perfectly for you. I do hope it holds together over the long term. Nails in particle board...no glue...I don't think it will. When I build something, I want it to last YEARS, and be able to take abuse. I would have used plywood and dimensional lumber, screws and glue. I do really hope I'm wrong. I hope it lasts. Maybe you're not as hard on things as I am.
    However, if any part of it breaks, you can always replace that part with different materials later. At least you did it; sometimes I overthink things and never get them done.

    • @Hanasdiyhome
      @Hanasdiyhome  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks!! It’s been up for 7 months and no issues yet. I wanted to make this as something anyone can build. Let’s see how long it lasts 🤞🏼
      What’s another way other than pocket holes that anyone can do? I tried screws but in particle board it didn’t hold.

    Great job. I would have probably have added a bead of construction adhesive to make it sturdier, also I might have put one of the rails at the bottom to make sure it could hold a lot of weight.

  • @koryleach9660

    "They would have used a nice wood, not plywood." LOL No, a good quality cabinet builder WOULD have used PLYWOOD, not melamine like IKEA. Cabinet grade plywood is far superior to particle board with a melamine layer on top.
    That aside this is a pretty good hack!

    I was hoping to see drawers with no doors. I have drawers inside of doors and it's frustrating. They are twice the effort to open and bang the doors if not open all the way.

    • @Hanasdiyhome
      @Hanasdiyhome  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can totally do that. It would require taking the doors off, filling the holes from the hinges and getting a paint match for your cabinets. I don’t mind the doors because overall the kitchen looks seamless cuz the doors all match still

    • @hawaiiantimes7702
      @hawaiiantimes7702 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I could totally see that would make sense and be efficient as well (I got toddlers who like slamming doors lol). But I see how you would like it seamless and uniform throughout.
