  • I made some textured paper from napkins and paper sticks.
I wanted to use some just to try it out. It makes an interesting texture for layering.

I am so glad that the experiment work out to your advantage. Thanks for sharing... I really love the printing on the brown paper bag! I will have to try that.

You are so welcome! Brown paper bags are my favourite resource of all time and soooo plentiful these days. There is a video somewhere on my channel showing the easiest way I've found to cut them to printer size, in case you want to give it a go.

You are so good with neutrals -- my absolute favorite. And your textured paper with the 'sticks' has, at least to me, a bit of a Japanese feel to it (also a favorite). And the polka dots! These cards are flat-out gorgeous. I will be happily scrounging about to see what I have to try to approximate this terrific idea. Thank you!

Waffles! 😂. Love them Kirsten. Nothing makes me happier than seeing weird scraps like the sticks being used to make beautiful ephemera. Your cards turned out so nice! 🙂🤎

Thanks Bonny 😁 I had a few moments of ‘what am I even doing?’ In the creation of these but it all worked out in the end thankfully.

Love these! Of course you had me with neutrals to begin with---vbg
I find myself happiest working with neutrals and "found" materials. I now have 12 different patterns, black/grey/white from security envelopes. I've been collecting them for a while and I think they will make wonderful collage backgrounds.

What are those blue trays you worked on

They are silicone mats. In Australia they are available in Kmart in the pet section as feeding mats. You might find something similar where you live.
