Yes. I just changed my page size to the closest size for the pages and printed on them as if they were blank paper.

Everyday something new is blooming. It’s lovely when the weather is cool but clear 😁

The diagonals really make a difference to the cut outs. Sometimes it’s worth breaking the mould 😁

It is a lot of fun. I complain bitterly about them but they really make lovely and interesting collage. 😊

I keep thinking ‘I must be closer’ but it seems to never end 😂 it’s okay. I already have back up magazines for a replacement 😁

I love Japan. I was there for Christmas last year. This year I decided to travel to Turkey as it’s always been on my list of places I’d love to see. I will try to share as much as I can here so you can live a little vicariously 😁.

Yes. They are easy to make. Not heavy or cumbersome to carry and I am happy to give them away to anyone showing me a kindness while I am travelling. I’ve also (in the past) painted tiny 5/5cm canvases and given those to people, but now journals are my thing so this is more appropriate to me.

I will be taking lots of photos and will try to send you guys a short every day or so of what I have been up to.

They are quick and easy to make and I really prefer to give hand made gifts as thank you gifts when possible. Journals is what I do so I thought ‘why not?’ 😁

Right?! He was a real professional 😁 I was grateful for his patience and acceptance of my skill level. He was a fantastic model to practice on and gorgeous to boot 😊

All my journals are ‘her’ or ‘she’s when I refer to them. I think it’s because I spend so much time with them that it becomes uncomfortable to refer to them as ‘it’. They are more like people I know to me in the end. It’s not really about giving them a gender, it’s about being fond of them and accepting that to me they have personality. Probably the same reason I name them all.

Loose bits are always interesting to have in a journal like this. It makes things look hurried and grabbed randomly. It’s fun 😁

They all need names 😁 by the time I’m done making them they almost feel like someone I know. Theming a journal is sometimes challenging but always fun.

I find eclectic journals much easier. Themes take a lot of time and searching for or making particular pieces. That said, they are very rewarding when they come together finally. You should absolutely go for it!

I need to be using not keeping!! 🤣

She is a nice size. So much easier to handle than my huge journals. Fortunately I have a lot of these books so you can look forward to many more this size 😁

I think he was hoping his photo shoot would be immortalised in print 😁 I may have to assist him with that.

He was such a sweet guy. Just rocked up while I was photographing something else and wandered up to say hello. He stayed to have dozens of shots taken and then off he went again. 😁 what a wonderful day!

It constantly amazes me that councils here spend so much money on art. Murals and installations but then never promote them. Not even a map on the council website. 🤷‍♀️

Yes. Nothing more frustrating than breaking a signature thread off at the spine before you can tie it after all of that work getting it sewn in 🙄. I know only too well 😑
