Synology Networking 101: IP Addresses and Port Numbers

Switching it up. Here's a part 1 overview on basic Synology networking. This a real basic idea of how IP address and port numbers are used on your Synology NAS.
Please excuse the bad firewall example. If you want to only have one machine access your NAS by IP address, you'll have to do more than what I talk about here. There are plenty of great Synology firewall tutorials out there though.
The next networking video will be more geared towards how VPNs work. Specifically Tailscale. Not a tutorial, but just an explainer so you have an idea of what's going on behind the scenes.
