  • CS:GO's audience isn't getting any bigger. Other games need playing as well! And this puts CS:GO TH-camrs in a difficult position. Do they fight on with a smaller audience, or do they choose to transition to another game/style, enduring the perilous path to get there?

I feel the same way. I believe there is a balance between wanting to watch a personality, and wanting to watch a game. This is mostly for gaming content. When either of these come out of balance people stop watching. People won't watch someone they care about play a boring game, and people won't watch an annoying person play a game they like. In my opinion Phillip is such a good creator, that he could make a video about anything, that's at least mildly interesting, but it's very subjective.

Zugkraft I agree with both, his voice is too good to be true and I would watch anything he made like that rube Goldberg machine video or even this. Simply because I know that he always makes an interesting and well thought video about an interesting subject or idea

I have played a total of ~17 hours in csgo, maybe about 50 hours across all CS games on my steam account (there's at least 1-2 weeks of internet cafe usage unaccounted for where we were waiting for our internet to come, stupid ISP...2-3 years before I bought all the cs games on my own account in 2010/2011), last game in csgo was probably over a year ago and I have never played in competitive matchmaking (at least after the 2015 change).
I've probably watched every video of his for the last 5-6 months (and followed for much longer) and will keep doing so for at least a bit. They're interesting and mostly well done.

If you want quick growth, ride the BF V hype train. Make sure to follow trends and AT LEAST report about them (if not milking them by making constant content during the hype). It's just a cheap trick to get into the ten-thousands quickly, if you want that. It might be helpful to resort to such strategic decisions, even if you don't particularly like the content. Growth leads to growth. And if you want to solidify your channel, you have to think about that. My guess is that you want to make a living off of doing what you love. But going there, you might need a specific strategy. All up to you.

As someone who semi does a slow amount of TH-cam animation and spends way too much time pouring over social blade stats and all. I don't think I've touched CSGO in like 6 months, yet I still find your CSGO videos (and almost all of your other ones) interesting. Your videos always have something that can be learned from and they keep me updated on CSGO. There's always a good minimum level of quality that your videos have on all your channels. The music is also really nice, I think you may underestimate how much it adds to your videos, it what makes your content different from everyone else's. It adds a sort of childish wonder accompanied by your calm voice. All combining into a very pleasant viewing experience, if people don't come for the CSGO content, they come for the entertainment value

I just can't describe how much i like this channel in particular, every video feels so genuine (Not that, 2 or 3kliks don't, but it's other kind of feeling), the mix between the music, theme of the video, and personal experiences makes me love it (That's probably why the game making journey on 2kliks is one of my favorite "series" on youtube)
Something that probably has to do with 3kliks not doing bad is the fact that, it isn't just a "gameplay" channel (or a box opening), it's more about details, or analysis in the game, which can (and does) attract more people that aren't even playing the game anymore (i even don't play regularly but still watch the videos)
Anyway, keep up the good work, even if there arent many videos all the time, it's more about the quality of them (I also love when there are parts of enviroments or places, being from Argentina shows lots of differences in culture that are so awesome to see)

When it comes to WarOwl I'm not watching his content for the games he play - but for his production and his humor. He's a really great entertainer, like I think you're good at this kind of stuff. Telling us what's what in CS:GO and it's surrounding culture!

I'll admit. I think my time with CS:GO moved on with the rush too. I'll always follow it, but after a game yesterday, I felt compelled to uninstall it. The esports side was always a hot mess to me, so the only thing I had was just enjoying the game, and I think that's moved on for me as well. I've unsubbed from most of the CS:GO youtubers I followed, but not you, and not WarOwl. Both of you have had great content for years and have inspired me in a lot of ways, and how you've evolved your content across your channels, and how WarOwl is doing on his right now is entertaining. I feel this growth change will be a make or break time for youtubers who've made CS:GO content, so I'm glad some of my favs are making proactive changes that are genuinely entertaining to watch.
P.S. Would you ever do more mapping content, even on this channel (since 3kilks has kinda evolved since sparity) I feel like you could really delve into asset creation for a new map, which was one aspect I feel held back sparity in a lot of ways.

I don't know why but your analytical videos seem more emotional and real then non scripted videos discussing emotions ... Keep It up, even if CSGO fails you im sure many people subed for your style of Video and your personality. You wont go under that quickly. 🙂

Philip, I think the reason you specifically are beating the odds is because you are one of the few CSGO TH-camrs that puts a high amount of effort into every single video you put out, and it shows in the quality of your videos. I think the other CSGO TH-camrs are now learning that people don't want to watch skin showcase #2352 or whatever; it gets stale. I know of other game-specific TH-camrs, and if you read through some of the comments on their videos, you'll see a lot of people who no longer play the game but still watch their videos regardless - not because of the content, but because of the personality. Your subscribers want to stick around because you are honest, funny, and genuine in your content. Love all your work, keep it up. :)

Still watching all of your videos from all of your channels! And still highly enjoying them since day 1, keep up the great stuff! Do you really want to grow that far? There are not just advantages to this, think of how much scrutiny your channel will be under, you'll also in a way (except maybe on this channel) lose connection to your audience as names won't appear familar anymore, it'll mostly just be numbers. Regardless of what's gonna happen, I wish you the best and I'll always enjoy your videos, keep it up!

I've stopped playing CS:GO quite some time ago but I still watch every one of your videos you post. I think you've done well too keep your videos about a game I no longer care about interesting enough to where I still look forward to each new video, and I think it's for this fact that 3kliksphilip has manage to outperform what CS:GO dictates it should be doing.
Keep out the quality content, absolutely love it!

I found 3kliksphilip because I was playing CS:GO in the past years. I was watching because of the game at first , but later on I grown fond of you with your ideas and editing and your quality. Then I found your other two channels and that was like bliss for me ! Now I don't play cs go so I don't check your 3klik account that much but I keep refreshing your other two channels and always waiting for a new one to pop-up. Games and trendy stuff are temporary , but you as a individual are the reason I stay. My favourite video of yours is still the "Living Frugally" ! :) That video is like your summary for me. Very bizarre topic , honest and interesting opinions , good editing with smooth music. Keep doing what you are doing best , much love.

The other thing to consider is that even though 3kliksphilip is heavily tied to CSGO, you still gain subscribers who are there to watch the content just because they enjoy your videos. I dont play the game at all but am subscribed still. When you change the style of a channel, those are the people who stay subscribed to you after.

It's surprising how many people I see in the comment section saying they haven't played csgo for x long. I'm included there. I just like your style of videos and that will never fade, no matter what the topic is about or what game it's about. Your style is unique, so you'll keep growing even if you move away from CS:GO entirely.
