You will love it there for sure!!! I haven’t uploaded my favourite beach because the sand is so white, water so clear and it’s not deep so I was not afraid to go in the middle. 😅 And foods are cheap too! 😋
Hello Massimo! We missed a lot of places and we’re hoping to visit again in the future. I dreamt about being there last night because I was missing Sardinia so much. 😅
Beautiful!! Rocky was so cute, following you to the beach 😂 that water was absolutely stunning 💎 thank you for sharing all the beautiful footage! The island seems much bigger than I envisioned, and the semi-abandoned village history was capturing! Beautiful work to you both, as always
Rocky was so adorable. I usually prefer big dogs but I was glad he accompanied us and protected us from mountain animals. 😂 Thank you so much for watching. I was the same. The island is too huge for a 2-week trip. We missed a lot of more beautiful places.

Congratulations for the hard work with this vlog editing mi amor! Even if it’s the longest so far, it doesn’t feel heavy to watch at all. Cala Goloritzé and Cala Luna are truly unique places and this film will allow us to reminisce our time there forever. 😍😘🎥💪🏻

Thanks a million for watching and for appreciating our videos so much! We´re so happy to read your positive feedback. Chano is usually the one writing the scripts and planning the itineraries, then he always supported me to do the voiceovers and talk in front of the camera. Years ago I was doubtful because English is not my first language, but with practice I have built enough confidence to talk more in our videos, so it´s always a pleasure when someone appreciate the hard work we do. All the best!
Great video guys, I am going to Sardinia in September and I can't wait. You got lucky to see some of the beaches very quiet and empty. I am guessing the water may be a bit cold at that time but that's the trade-off
Thank you very much for watching and for appreciating our video! It´s hard to say for us, as we have been living in Ireland for 6 years and our body temperature regulation has changed a little bit. 😅 In Sardinia the water was great for us in this May trip. If it was sunny then we felt that the water was refreshing and just perfect. It´s the Mediterranean Sea, so the water is warmer than for example in the Atlantic Coast of Cadiz from where Chano is from. September should be a perfect month to go too, enjoy the trip and the best advice we can give everyone is to wake up early to have the places all to yourself for a while. All the best!
Thank you so much to you for watching our videos and for appreciating our work! We´re happy that our Sardinia travel series have brought you nice inspiration for your trip. I wish you have a wonderful time in Sardinia! You´ll love it there for sure. All the best.
Nice report from sardinia I came from there this week and passed in many places that show you in the video. What I loved the most was the blue color of the sea, the true petroleum blue. I wanted to know what time of the year these holidays were, as the prices are different and far from being deserted now :-D
thank you very much for watching and for your comment! We are still posting videos from our trip to Sardinia in case you want to check them for future trips. We spent in Sardinia 2 weeks at the beginning of May. We read that April and May are probably the best months to get nice weather, but much less people and more affordable prices. In 15 days we had 3 days of rain, but only 2 of those days were very rainy. We asked the locals and they said April weather was incredible this year, lovely sunny and hot days. We totally agree with you about the blue color of the sea, we couldn't believe how clean and intense the water was. All the best! 🙂
Hey, we're also flying to Sardinia on Friday. Your video was very informative - thanks for that! What month were you there? The beaches look surprisingly empty.
Thank you very much for watching and for appreciating our video! We´re really glad to read your feedback! We visited Sardinia in early May, now in June it´s gonna be a little bit busier, but still not crowded like July and August. The best advice we can give you, if you want to have the beaches for yourself, it is to wake up early and get there in the morning if you can. 😊 Also be sure that you book your Cala Goloritze tickets in advance if you´re planning to hike down to the beach, the limit of people per day is not very high. We wish you have a wonderful trip to Sardinia! We miss it so much there, it´s truly a wonderful island! 😍
@@ReigneOrShine Thank you for your response and the informations! I really appreciate that. We also start early in the morning, when we are travelling. As you said, its just less crowded. Do you remember, at what time you took the boat from cala gonone / what is the earliest depature? And did you booked the tickets in advance for that?
Thanks for the wonderful video. I understood that in May it's perfect for swimming? Was the water cold? We are planning to go in June with kids... Wondering if it might be too hot
thank you very much for watching and for your kind comment! The water was perfect for us in May, a little bit cold at the beginning, but then it was super refreshing. June will be hotter than May, and the beginning of the high season, but not as bad as July/August where they can have over 30 degrees all the time and it's the peak of the high season. Maybe you can choose the beginning of June if it's possible, in May we had 3 days of rain over 2 weeks there. You´ll love Sardinia for sure, it's really a paradise and I think it's a great place for children too! Wish you a wonderful trip. All the best.
We love your videos. I was wondering wht made you book multiple b&Bs? Is it cost effective to book different b&bs or to stay in one place and travel around ?
Thank you very much for watching and for appreciating our videos! 😊🙏🏽 We wanted to visit many locations in our trip and roads in Sardinia may not be the best all the time. We stay late for sunsets and Chano wakes up for every sunrise too, so we try to minimise the driving distances by booking different B&Bs. We couldn´t find a single location to move from there, as distances can be long, Sardinia is bigger than it may look in the maps, some locations have dirty roads to get to them too. If you don´t want to change hotels that much, then Baunei could be a good option to visit the East of the island, but reaching the North or the West from there is gonna be more time consuming. There are a lot of mountains in Sardinia, so expect roads with constant curves too. You´ll love it there no matter where you go or how you organise it! Wish you have a wonderful trip to Sardinia!
thank you very much for watching and for appreciating our video! We didn't go to that specific area (we heard it's very beautiful too), but Cala Goloritze is the only beach that we know it has compulsory reservation all year around. For example La Pelosa Beach in Stintino needs reservation from June to September only. We went there in May, so all the parking places were free and we didn't have to book for the rest of the beaches. Wish you have a wonderful trip to Sardinia, it's really a paradise! All the best.
Thanks for the kind words. I guess it depends on on your taste of music. Piano is not depressing for me but relaxing. And we also received a lot of appreciation with our music selection. This has been the first time that someone said it’s depressing. 😅. So I guess I will follow my instinct and the majority of the feedback of our viewers. But thank you!
Yes it is. My husband and I also thought the photos in social media are fake. Of course, some of them were edited. But my husband’s editing style for color grading is not exaggerated. He respects and keep the real color of the places. We were saying WOW all the time when we saw the water. 😍
Hey great video! Just a couple question, would you advise booking in advance for the boat trip from cala gonone or does it not matter and what services are included, does it take you to more than 1 beach!? Thx
thank you very much for watching! In low season you don't have to book the boat in advance, but maybe in the peak of the summer it's better to book it in advance to avoid long queues or missing the boat you want to take. We chose the boat that stop only in Cala Luna, but we know that there are boats that cost more and they will be stopping in different beaches, letting you a certain time in every beach. Just bear in mind that it's not allow to go down in Cala Golorizte anymore, if you want to visit this beach the only way is by doing the hike we did. Wish you a wonderful trip to Sardinia! :)
Thank you very much for watching and appreciating our video! We have to be sincere and tell you that the roads there are not always the best. It will depend on the places you go, some of the natural beaches have dirty roads to access from the main road. Maybe get a bigger car as we did, the Fiat Panda is the cheapest and more common rental car you´ll see, but for some dirty roads may be a little bit tricky to have such a small car. Don´t get a car too big either, as roads are often narrow and the same in the small towns streets. Just be careful and slow and you should be fine, there are a lot of motorbikes, we often slowed down and let them pass. But also many times we were alone for long time in the roads without seeing other cars, if you go in low or shoulder season there will be much less tourists and Sardinia is very underpopulated, so once you´re outside Cagliari the traffic is not heavy at all. Hope we helped you to decide, but please don´t be afraid, we have been driving in worse places, a roadtrip in Sardinia is the best way for us to explore this incredible island. All the best. Reigne & Chano.
@@ReigneOrShine hi! Thanks so much for taking your time to reply. We’re only planning to get a small car, probably a vw polo. We are heading to Sardinia this week and just discovered your video. We really want to take the same ferry from Cala Gonone to Cala Luna you did (22 Euros round trip), but I can't find any information about it online. Do they have a website with times? What time was the first ferry? (Trying to plan how early we would need to leave Olbia to drive down.)
Hi Ashley, thanks for watching our video! In May the first boat departed at 9.30 am, so you should be at Cala Gonone harbour at least 15minutes before departure, but be careful because now with the high season there are probably a lot of people, so the earlier the better I would say. There were several boats during the day, the next one was at 11.00, and they will tell you the return times once you´re there. What we found out is that all the companies kind of work together for some of the services, people were buying the tickets in other box offices there at the harbour but we all finished in the same boat (they all went down in the first stop at the Bue Marino caves, so we stayed alone in the boat the rest of the journey until Cala Luna), for the return time 2 boats arrive at the same time (around 15.00), it may sound confusing because we were expecting every company to have their own boat, but it seems that they do that for more private services, while the big boats to Cala Luna are managed globally (prices and times can changed during the year too). We don't really know how they control the number of people and boats for the return times, but I suppose they know how many people they have been dropping and send boats back to fetch them, we didn't have to choose a return time at all, just went to the dock at Cala Luna at one of the returning times. We didn't have a seat number or anything like that. We couldn't find online a company that offered the ticket for only 22€, but we read somewhere that you can just go there and buy at the harbour without paying extra fees, so that's what we did. Good luck with your trip! We hope you can get to Cala Luna and enjoy it! Wish you have a wonderful time in Sardinia!
Hello! Thanks for watching our video. How old is your baby? Maybe you can carry on the back. There are parts of the trekking that are not very easy. Rocky paths, some rocks are even slippery. We saw a very bad accident when we were there when a young adult woman slipped and broke her ankle. But of course if you are more cautious, you can do it safe. However, if you only want to see the beach and the mountains, you can take a boat. They don’t allow tourists to go down to the beach from the boat though.
