    Is your Maverick still on the factory default settings or did you customize it?

      Still on factory settings; only got it 8 days ago

      Figured it out. One of my keys was programmed as a “My Key”. So the settings would return to what was set when the key was programmed. I got the other key and was able to “Clear My Key” settings. All is good now

      @johnwilliambeaton Wow, you should post your own videos, I will sub! After 2 years of owning a hybrid and turbo AWD, I am still learning about the Maverick.
      On my videos, the star is the truck. I will never make you stare at me while I talk. Thanks for the info John!

      Hi Darrell, thanks for the thanks! I am trying to be different than the channels that make you stare at them talking for most of the video. My camera is on the Maverick, as if you are sitting in the cockpit. Ask any questions on my videos. And thanks for subbing!

    Under vehicle settings, autolamp delay, I set my 2024 Mav XLT to off and they still stay on for approx 20 seconds. I want them to go off when I shut the engine off as the inside of our garage stays lit 24/7.

  • @gened7756

    I just watched your video. Another good job explaining how things work! I got my 23 XLT hybrid, 4 days ago, got 60 miles on now. I never had a hybrid vehicle before, so with you explaining the settings really helped. I video the settings with my phone, about 11 minutes long. So tomorrow I will go in the Mav. and watch your video as I am setting all of the features like you did. I also have co-pilot 360. Anyway--- Thank you and Cheers!

      Hi Gene, my other favorite! Congrats on your Mav 23. Yes a hybrid takes a little getting used to. For example, no need to warm up the engine, the battery can power the Mav to drive immediately. Put the screen in EV Coach to help with your driving habits, like going easy on the gas pedal to stay under battery power as long as possible while accelerating. When the gauge on the left is in green, power is going to the battery. White means % of power going to the wheels.
      Basically, driving like a grandpa maximizes mpg. Glad to help Gene!

    I hate lane keeping so much. I pass a postal truck and it pulls me back towards it. Every land change it grabs the wheel. Absolute dosghit nanny state feature.

      @guyincognito320 You can disable that feature by pushing the button on the end of the turn stalk.

    Thumbs up. Only thing is I think you should make another one and add a link for those having FX4 and 4K tow along with Tremor package. First insisting the tow haul mode be used especially with heavy loads or trailers. Second showing how to adjust and use the brake controller. Lastly showing how and the advantages of the off road screen which is on the FX4 and Tremor package. The reason I say this I watched a video reviewing a Maverick FX4 off road where they voiced he wished it had an off-road screen showing slopes, hill degrees. Unfortunately he didn't know he already had it on that model and most likely didn't go through all the optional viewing screens. Anyway it shows a need for this. Along with many reviews explaining what comes with what package or what you get with this package and I would wager 99% do not mention the off road screen. Thus the reason I'm suggesting this and a link to those who have a FX4, 4k Tow and the Tremor package.

      You're fortunate enough to have 'both worlds' of the Maverick... Glad you are sharing your experiences with them. Keep up the good work.

    • @fordmaverickmaniac
      @fordmaverickmaniac  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Steve Taylor Yes, we ordered one of each because we ski and don't want to get stopped at chain control with AWD. Hwy mpg not much different than the hybrid. And the turbo is like a little race truck! Once the warranty is up, I plan on getting a tune to over 300HP.
      At 2 trucks for the price of 1 full size, over time I recommend getting one of each too.

    Does it have the intillegent awd display on the xlt?

    • @fordmaverickmaniac
      @fordmaverickmaniac  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the XLT has the same screen as the Tremor showing power going to just the front wheels or all 4 if necessary.

    • @fordmaverickmaniac
      @fordmaverickmaniac  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Kenneth, go to the My View screen. Press the menu button on the steering wheel. You have 4 choices of what displays here 1) Digital speedo 2) EV Coach 3) Fuel economy and 4) Calm screen (nothing displayed). Hope this helps!

    I was kinda upset you didn’t go over the trailer sway settings, that was the only reason I watched xP

    • @fordmaverickmaniac
      @fordmaverickmaniac  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry Esquire! I am a rookie at this. There is so much to cover, it's easy to forget things during the shoot. Thanks for telling me, your input is important.

    • @Flockingtheherd
      @Flockingtheherd ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fordmaverickmaniac I have a hybrid maverick and it sadly didn’t come with a hitch on it. But one thing I’ve noticed is that it has a setting called trailer sway which helps with trailers but not in my case. For me I’ve noticed having the setting on makes my mav feel like I’m steering a boat and tends to take wider turns. My problem is that every time I turn my car on the setting is re-enabled. It’s actually very annoying. I wish I could turn it off and it stay off. The Mav drives much more like a car with the trailer away setting off. Idk if anybody else has noticed that

    • @fordmaverickmaniac
      @fordmaverickmaniac  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Flockingtheherd Very strange, that's a new one. Sounds like the Mav thinking there is a hitch receiver should be corrected under warranty. Could be just a programming change by the tech.
      A lot of people left the $100 option off to get their build faster. But now to install the wiring harness all the way to the engine and the rest of the job will probably cost $500-600.
      I know the Mav price point is low but it's a truck, Ford should have added $100 to the msrp and delivered all Mavs with 2k tow to make them more capable for a utility trailer, a small camper, or even just a hitch mounted bike rack.
