Just stunning, thank you for sharing, always look forward to your vlogs as I’m certain many others do too ❤️ I’m going to order some olive oil for sure and as for us missing Simon, well at least we heard him sneeze in the background so we know he’s still around 🤷🏻♀️😂
Lol Deena, yes, he is here 🥰 so glad you enjoyed the vlog. I do love making them, it relaxes me. Until I hit the publish button 🤣 then I fret all the time 😱😅😂🤭
Olives are sooooo good for you. I hated them until about 5 years ago. Now i love them. Until i overdose on them and go off them for a while (happened recently 😂). Yes we are very happy 🥰
Thank you for sharing the info about Liokareas Olive Oil. I bought some of the products and I'll be happy to try them. I plan to move to Kalamata in 2025 and I might become one of their regular customers. Thanks again for the info. 😊
Hi Eleni, so glad I could connect you to this wonderful and authentic small business in the Mani. Their oil really is something special. good luck with your future plans, we love Kalamata, what a great place to live! Best wishes :) xxx
Ah, yes, the smell of Greek mountain herbs. Reminds me when I picked oregano, chamomile & green tea, all growing wild. I hope you will film Bruno's going away.
It is amazing isn't it? I am hoping to find someone locally who can teach me what wild foods and medicines to pick during the year soon so I can learn more ❤ and Bruno... we will see... I am not taking him but will try and meet up with the volunteer who will take him and film it ❤

Hey Lia! So lovely to connect here! Thank you for your lovely comment! Greece is the best, we just so love it here. There is just something so deeply healing about Greece that I can't explain. Have a beautiful day.
Hope you don't mind, but have shared this to my Facebook page. You explained so well, all the wonderful things about this lovely part of the world, far better than I ever could! We moved to the area almost a year ago, and I think my friends & family will now see why! 🙂
Thanks for sharing!! And absolutely don't mind. I have been worrying that my ramblings may have been too long, but it is lovely to read that you so relate to what I said ❤️ and sharing helps us grow, so thank you 🥰
You know what, I have been worrying about this all night! I wondered whether it would be too boring, but it seems people did actually enjoy it, so I am relieved. Thank you for telling me Wanda :) xxx
I love this! You covered everything from extra virgin olive oil to updates on Bruno (which is always special)! It was interesting to learn about the early olive harvest and pressing - we live in an olive oil-producing area in Tuscany, Italy and here too the producers harvest relatively early. What you love about Greece I love too and have done for many years. The Peloponesse is a very special corner of Greece and not that dissimilar from my little corner of Tuscany! Thank you for sharing your world and I'm Looking forward to the next video xx
Aww thank you! I was worried about sharing a Q&A and doing it on the hoof, but I tend to work so mych better in the moment and as life happens. So, i am glad it resonated! Yes, I can see how it must be so relatable, we have driven through Tuscany twice now and loved it. It is sweeter and gentler in energy than Greece, I feel, and would be our next choice of ever we tire of Greece ❤️
Thank you Bee, I’m so pleased to find you again! I too am back in Greece after a few months in France. Just now renting an overwintering apartment on the harbour front in Old Epidavros. If I know where to find you I’d love to catch up when I’m next in Mani. I’ve thought about you so often!! 😘
When you can, ALWAYS go for the "early" stage oil...called in Greek "agoureleo". It's made out of mostly green olives cold pressed and filtered. It stays like this for a couple months before it oxidises and becomes just like the other oil.
Yes, absolutely! We are so lucky here as we have so many olive presses around and the local shops sell the super early extra virgin press. It is almost neon green and just absolutely amazing :)

I've been oil free cooking for the past five years. I still eat olives ❤ I'm so glad that you are both happy x
