My best friend has selective mutism. I became friends with her in term 3 of 2020 she was in year 7 and I was in year 8, the reason we became friends is because a teacher pulled the both of us out of class I think she noticed us looking at eachother a lot. We then found out that we like the same things. We've been friends ever since then it is now 2024 and I am in year 12 and she is in year 11. We have been friends for nearly 4 years now. We hang out everyday at school and every school holidays we go to eachothers houses for either a hangout or a sleepover. I feel happy when she's at school but when she's not I feel lonely. I know I can hang out with other people but it doesn't feel the same, plus I have extreme social anxiety so it makes it hard for me to socialise with other people as well. That was long- my fingers hurt.
