Good question. I no longer go for walks or bike rides because the trails are overload with a plague of dogs and walkers. I've had to many close calls with aggressive dogs and arrogant thoughtless owners. I now just sit in my how with noise cancelling phones on all day to block out the barking.

You should get a 30ft leash for the pups that can’t go off leash yet!
I do have one! But I like to keep newbies on a short lead for the first few walks and work up towards having their own space
