    You have to develop this into a system. Everything from the ceiling, no stuff on the floor...I'd be in heaven...:)

      Haha thank you! This one was done as cheaply as possible, but I could do another build with improvements using better materials if you are serious. I used to prototype expensive equipment at my old job and can make quite a nice product if I have an excuse to. Shoot me an email if you want to work something out, and thanks for watching!

    These videos are underrated.
    No idea why TH-cam recommended me one of them.. but 10/10.
    Keep doing your thing TH-cam.

    When that mount woobles, maybe you can fix that by applying a second foot to that ceiling rail. Just so that it can use the two to keep it from going out of control.
    It is a great mount, I would love to see you apply some fixes to it in the future as you discover more problems.
    I personally would have gone the extra mile and make it look pleasing to the eye as well as being useful. but thats why I dont do these things isnt it XD

      Good ideas! I plan to eventually build a better system using an 80/20 aluminum rail, perhaps I'll even motorize it!

    If the flexible power conduit and the flexible support conduit on the camera came in from different directions they could probably provide better support and less wobbling. Great video and very informative!

    • @JoelCreates
      @JoelCreates  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a good concept and may help it be repositioned easier,, but the wobble came from the rail itself being rather flimsy/the connecting junction being weak.

    My first thought when I saw this was the Management Rail from portal. It would be really cool to see something like this with a motorized rig/puppet of Wheatley that you could remote control

    I had this exact same idea for my set up, minus the powered rail. Only difference was I planned to used stepper motors to pull the camera along the track

    Get a 2D plotter for your ceiling. Then you can really step up your camera pointing game.

    Nice idea and execution. Did you seek out the track lighting specifically for this or did you come up with the idea after you had already obtained it? I'm curious where your inspiration comes from.

    • @JoelCreates

      Thank you! And great question, thanks for asking! I had this idea first, and was fortunate enough to find the rail on my first trip, and for so cheap! Since I was rather young, one of my main sources of entertainment was taking apart stuff from goodwill, as well as learning the history/uses of the unusual objects that I saw. I've had so many ideas come to me from finding objects there throughout the years, and still do, but I have also developed a pretty comprehensive idea of what is available on the used market, and roughly how much it will cost. Nowadays many of my build ideas come through random inspiration, or by necessity, and immediately I'll try to think of the cheapest existing parts that can be re-purposed with the least modification to complete them. Now that I am making videos, I will also be doing more "trip to the thrift store" style videos, where I do something on a whim based on what I find...My microphones video is an example of that!

      Seems like you're doing well for yourself on TH-cam, so why do a lot of the work yourself? More videos, more money. More ideas, more videos. Your music pairs great with your videos, but it seems, and I mean no disrespect, that you could use help in the managerial department. Hire some people. Literally contact a university or community college with hungry students ready to work. Idk, I'd be going crazy with content if I were you, that's all.

    • @JoelCreates

      @@woophereigo9755 Thanks for the clarification! I do have a rough plan of expansion, and will likely be implementing a few administrative changes at the beginning of this year. Unfortunately, my monetization up to this point hasn't been enough to cover even my cost of materials, so I do have to be careful about hiring help at the moment. I have received help from a few people/friends who were interested in the artistic experience/exposure, but as I am still fairly new to having a channel, I want to make the most of my current small size by investing my time into learning every detail of channel development firsthand, as well as discovering and developing my brand. I want to cultivate this knowledge and experience in hopes of being able to competently manage a scaled operation in the future. I am all for making this channel the biggest and best it can be, and I believe that starts by laying a solid foundation by hand, even if it takes a bit more time. Thanks for the interest!

      You have plenty of potential. I know you'll figure it out if you sit down and think it through long enough. Just takes the time and effort. I will continue to be interested in your talents until you become something like King of Random before he signed out of life. He was getting conceited, and he forgot his place. He forgot that he went to TH-cam to learn the things he didn't know, then went to make money practically bragging about it in a video or two. He even made seminars on how to be successful, just like him. Okay, if I want to know how to be a house flipper, then rich TH-camr, I guess he's the person to ask. His videos used to have a point, how to do things on a budget. He was wealthy, got wealthier, then decided to make silly projects exposing kids to danger. lol

    Isnt the wobble mostly because how the arm is attatched to the rail rather than the stiffness of the arm?

    • @JoelCreates
      @JoelCreates  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe I attributed it to rail stiffness.
