Thanks for the review of this. How about comparing it to the E-Flite UMX Detroit Miss as well as the Volantex version? IMHO this is the best bang for the buck in this size, it would be cool to see what you think
I wish some company would come out with a warbird lineup that is 650-700mm, 250 grams or less, with retractable gear, 2S + 3S compatible, and made out of EPP foam, not that crap EPS coffee cup foam that Horizon Hobby always uses.

I'd like to see the comparison. I'm really interested in which can be balanced most easily because if they are like the smaller (400mm) versions they could benefit from some nose weight to get the CG right.
Hi Nate and Abbie, loving your videos. I have three brushed mini warbirds, a cub and motorized glider they are great little planes. but I find it hard to wear out the motors as the weather is so poor in the UK to fly them often enough.

This is listed at about $130 (without a coupon code), and the UMX Detroit Miss P51 BNF is $150. Yes, you need to add batteries and a radio, but if you already have them, I'm thinking stick with Detroit Miss, right? But props to Eachine for taking the next step! And beautiful livery and detailing. What a great hobby
E-flite's Detroit Miss is made out of EPS coffee cup foam like most of their UMX planes. It's pretty fragile. This P-51 is made out of EPP foam, which is much more durable, and this plane also has a prop saver system, which Detroit Miss doesn't have.

First of all, love your comment. Don’t apologize as I’m more than happy to help! Ok, Eachine P-52 is amazing! It is RTF (Ready To Fly) with everything included to get in the air, and some extra props with really great flight stabilization! That’s the Eachine version in a nutshell. Shipping to the UK has gone up in price dramatically from around £3 with insurance to about £20
Abby brought up a great point. Being able to silence button inputs would be next level.
Strongly agree!! 👍💯⚓️
Best tip for hand launching, Do it over Grass, not a hard surface. If it's a maiden flight, launch it over tall grass.
I love Abby's "Launch with CONFIDENCE!"
Launchfidence! Lol buying it now, I have the smaller brushed version.
I totally agree with Nate. Enough P-51’s already! How about a P-38? Or a Corsair? Even a Zero? Great video guys! 👍❤️🇺🇸

I have this plane on order from banggood, the Miss Helen version. Can’t wait to get it in the air, thanks for the tips! 👍
I love "Launchfidence". You should trademark that lol And yes, that thing left Nate's hand with ease and comfort. Unlike that silly $100 EDF. ;)

Dang it’s 2S. There goes the 1S simplicity and weight that I liked haha
It's still a very light plane, around 110-120g including battery :) (from what I gathered from another review)
@_TrueDesire_ I come from sweden, where you need a license for rc planes over 220 grams. Witch, I don't have. So thank you very much!😊
@milokloverfeldt3150 the limit should be 250 grams in total 😁
@@_TrueDesire_ that’s more than twice the original one but it would add more heft in the wind so it wouldn’t get battered around. :)
@@milokloverfeldt3150 sounds like you have 100 grams for external fuel tank and ammo 😉😂

Comparison video would be cool.. So glad to see a brushless motor finally lol
Smoooooooth launch
Awesomeness! I really like the speed you’re flying. So many small electrics are way too fast.
the main advantage of switching the motor would be increased efficiency - Does it provide 30% or more improved flight times & / or wind penetration?
What about comparing it to the UMX Detroit Miss/Voodoo?

No point comparing this to the Volantex version. They are exactly the same. In case you didn't know, Volantex makes all the Eachine warbirds.
Absolutely correct, just different paint schemes. I recently purchased the volantexrc 500mm p51 and that plane is right up there with hobby grade.
Why does it feel like the Eachine version flew better? Maybe I just need to fly them both again back to back, off camera. I think people would be really surprised if they knew who actually made certain brands planes for other brands etc…. IYKYK!! 🤔😬😉🤩⚓️

@@dandanthedandan54321 No. The XK is not the same. Made by Wltoys. Not as good as Eachine/Volantex.

Oh, very good points, thanks!
Detroit miss is a good little plane but is pretty fast and a lot more fragile. I would say this one is much better for a beginner for sure 👍
I just lost my red tail eMachine today flying up in the mountains, just lost complete throttle control didn't have enough glide to get it back.
For some reason banggood shipping to the UK is around £25( $34) for everything ive looked at buying recently
Vertical performance would've been a nice thing to highlight.
Or does it struggle even with brushless power?
quite, that is my observation - see posting
Agreed. I'd like to see it's vertical but also stalls, so we can see it's entire flight envelope.
Would you link the batteries? What are the best ones to use?
Volantex makes these planes for Eachine
id love to see a comparison to the older 400mm warbirds like speed and handling that kind of stuff ive had a few of the 400 and they are a blast. im contemplating getting a 500mm but would also like to get something larger i think like the 750mm one they make

I wish they would use two servos for the Ailerons
Do you think that eventually they will add retracted gears? At this size which is 500 mm if i am not wrong
Are there any warbirds that are beginner friendly and larger than 500mm?
It has to handle better without the landing gear on it!!
I would definitely go without the landing gear.
Let's make it a three-way competition, Eachine vs Volantex vs XK A280
Does it have the quick detach prop like it's predecessor
Great question! Yes! In fact, it is shipped with the prop detached. I imagine it makes the box a tiny bit smaller which likely helps them on shipping costs. Just snaps right on! 👍💯😎⚓️
Since I am nowhere near a club field where do you put the rid module??
Awesome looking model at a good price! Do you know what protocol the BNF version uses? These RTF models are great, but not for us Mode 1 flyers.

I'd like to see a comparison between this and the one that didn't really lose any altitude on the roll ...
Can't remember which one that was..
