don't worry about the tears. you're not alone. they really have that special power in their songwriting. one thing to note in the fill beast's work here: she goes disco, off the rails, straight rhyrhm and everything in between in 'zen', but there are no bonham triplets employed in this particular song. on guitar amps, yes it's a peavey evh 5150 for the rhyrhm and a bogner head/mb cabinet setup for the lead. and yes, she's using an octave harmonizer. seems to me this will be her signature tone to separate her from the usual hard rock assumptions. for the bass it's now a full-on agullar stack which slowly transitioned from an orange system. personally i don't mind if you want to make drumming reaction consistent and avoid general music videos. your wholehearted appreciation of these ladies' brand of music is more than enough for me.

Don't worry about the damp eyes. I'm 73 and it happens to me quite often when listening to Band Maid, even watching your reaction to them was emotional, hope you stay with them and give them a chance. I have been listening to music since the sixty's and there are/were some awesome bands, but none of them have brought so much joy and emotion like Band Maid has. So glad I accidentally found this great Rock Band while searching for classic rock.

I changed the head amp! ! ! It changed to Bogner Ecstasy “PANDORA” Wow! ! I changed the amp for the first time in a few years! Bogner has always been my favorite manufacturer, I was thinking that someday... but I put all my energy into making a new one for the Yokohama Arena! ! The current situation is still in the trial and error stage, but I would like to pursue the sound of BAND-MAID with Tech Daichan⭐︎
Goosebumps, feeling happy while getting teary?. Veeery normal specially when Band-Maid hits correctly. It happened to me in 2020 when watching Puzzle Live An still happens from time to time.

They are magical beings, that's all there is to it. Great reaction! Hope you do some more of their MVs. The greatness of their studio work often gets undersold I think just because they are so great live. But in my opinion I think it's usually best to listen to the studio versions first before the lives.

@DrumRoast yeah😅, sorry for that. The Nemophilas "ZEN" has a very different vibe, but it's a great one if you into Metal. Which I saw you don't really, so this recommendation is just for an overall example, I guess.
Imagine what your eyes will be doing if/when you listen to "Daydreaming", "Anemone", "Smile" or some of their other mid-tempo songs. A couple of their songs "Secret My Lips" and one of their newer songs "Forbidden Tale" have little jazz segments in them. MISA, the bassist, loves to play jazz. This is the 1st video that Kanami uses her brand-new Signature PRS guitar, the "Kanami"... she's the only Japanese male or female to have this distinction from PRS.
You say we don’t listen to what you listen to, but you’d be surprised to hear that Band-Maid fans have pretty diverse music tastes hence why we love the band. I listen to those genres you listed, and I wouldn’t be surprised if more of other BM fans also do.

Tears? Goosebumps? They do that to me all the time, and I can't remember any other band that ever has. Remarkable composing. (you can frame forward and back in videos. pause, then comma backwards and period forward.) MISA uses custom Black Cloud basses, Miku uses Zamaitis guitars, her own custom Kanami PRS guitars and Bogner amps now, recentlt Mesa Boogie.
@@jonahgutierez114 I noticed that. I think it's a leftover after Gibson bought Mesa (and apparently made a mess of the transition). It'll be interesting to see what she ends up using. That head has a lot of gain, but they do custom work too.

They have been petty like that in the past. No matter, the Bogner amps kick ass for metal players, so she will find a way to make it fit.
11:59 that's why I asked you to react to ZUTOMAYO. They are pop rock R&B disco funk jazz band. I wanted to introduce them with the song "DARKEN" live, which was the closing song of their performance and it showcases all the band members in the middle of the song with nice little solos and some weird instruments that you've never heard about. BAND-MAID new song really slaps. Another TH-cam reactor has isolated the instruments and there are some nasty drum fills by Akane.

Good news. Band-Maid employ jazz, hip-hop, rap elements in many of their music. I literally listen to all kinds of music. Enka, city-pop, folk, middle eastern, celtic, latin, Chinese, Korean, Indian, jamaican, classical, rock, metal, punk-core, jazz, blues, edm, grunge and subgenres and fusions. And I often hear sneaky middle eastern, jazz, blues, Japanese folk, disco elements in their songs - so sneaky that it's easy to miss. It's just that they never do anything straight. They either bring smile or tears to your face. Oh if you really love Akane's drumming, I highly recommend you sign up to Band-Maid prime where you can find her drum cams and self-covers by each member.
Akane is beating those drums like they owe her money. Kanami ripping and shredding like a wood chipper. Misa slapping the bass till it bleeds. Sakai and Miku singing and growling like the pros they are. Yep, that's Band Maid. Accept no substitutes.
I've been watching your drum covers since Akane, so I'm happy that you decided to watch a regular MV. It's odd for fans of great music not to tear up at Band-Maid songs. The songs and arrangements just get to your emotions. The other thing that you will realise, is that Akane is among equals in this band, as they are all excellent musicians. The guitars- basic descriptions. Kanami- lead guitar. She recently got awarded her own PRS Signature model and this is it. Miku- Rhythm Guitar and Backing vocals. Plays a signature Zemaitis guitar and Misa- Bass. Plays Black Cloud basses in various designs, but this is her recent model, Jaguar (Fender style) bass. She also has a Signature Black Smoker all black bass. I/We really appreciate you doing this reaction- You may consider yourself a Maidiac now. My best band line up would be a rock band with a jazz rhythm section. Thanks (UK) Don't underate your self- 2,000 views in 12 hours can't be bad.
You have found, re-found, I take it, the best band in the world. And as you will hear, live is even better than the MV's as impossible as that sounds. Yes this song is a masterpiece but I can throw over 100 songs at you from them that will show you this is pretty much Band Maid, they always hit, with these anime songs, with ballads, with every genre of rock packed into 10 years of excellence. You WILL cry real tears if you listen to certain songs like Daydreaming, About Us, etc
There is a guitar-only riff at the end of the anime PV and anime OP that is not in the original song. It made me tear up. This office-like place is the studio of the anime production company MAPPA, and was used because the story of the anime is a fantasy with the anime creator as the main character.
Kanami (lead guitar) used to play a matched stack with a Mesa Boogie triple rectifier, but has that Bogner head now. Misa (lead bass) used to play with an Orange amp. Akane has a lot of sick fills. She tricked me into not paying attention to her by just going into half time after the guitar solo, in the last chorus, and you get swept up in the vocals in that lull, but she revs up and goes 🍌🦍 mode immediately after. I just completely missed it on my first listen. Ultimately, that’s the magic of Band-Maid. Every member is stealing your attention from every other member, because everyone is doing something interesting, but they always find a way to make it be cohesive.

Honestly, I was tearing up (happiness) watching you be impressed with Band-Maid. I'm glad you enjoyed their music. Rhythm guitar uses the EVH cab and head. Sometimes she'll use a Peavey on tour. The lead guitar uses a Bogner head with a Mesa cab.

Brother, i recommend you watch the documentary about the Maids. They are released in about half hour segments for each of our girls. You really get to know each of them individually. Might help you understand why the Maids are so loved.

This band is not a metal band, IMO. He can play heavy songs but he is skilled at mixing genres of rock and other music such as Jazz or Funk and other genres. About Akane, she did a solo in 2023 at Yokohama Arena that someone posted online, so it's not an official live. But you will be able to see our smiling drummer gorilla show all her talent for almost 3 minutes. Awesome. Thanks
I find this song and it's Anime to be a protest against the Japanese mentality of "Work Until You Die". I think both will resonate with the Japanese audience.

Bogner has always been my favorite manufacturer,
I was thinking that someday... but I put all my energy into making a new one for the Yokohama Arena! !

Hope you do some more of their MVs. The greatness of their studio work often gets undersold I think just because they are so great live. But in my opinion I think it's usually best to listen to the studio versions first before the lives.

Imagine what your eyes will be doing if/when you listen to "Daydreaming", "Anemone", "Smile" or some of their other mid-tempo songs. A couple of their songs "Secret My Lips" and one of their newer songs "Forbidden Tale" have little jazz segments in them. MISA, the bassist, loves to play jazz. This is the 1st video that Kanami uses her brand-new Signature PRS guitar, the "Kanami"... she's the only Japanese male or female to have this distinction from PRS.

You say we don’t listen to what you listen to, but you’d be surprised to hear that Band-Maid fans have pretty diverse music tastes hence why we love the band. I listen to those genres you listed, and I wouldn’t be surprised if more of other BM fans also do.

Tears? Goosebumps? They do that to me all the time, and I can't remember any other band that ever has. Remarkable composing. (you can frame forward and back in videos. pause, then comma backwards and period forward.) MISA uses custom Black Cloud basses, Miku uses Zamaitis guitars, her own custom Kanami PRS guitars and Bogner amps now, recentlt Mesa Boogie.

They have been petty like that in the past. No matter, the Bogner amps kick ass for metal players, so she will find a way to make it fit.
11:59 that's why I asked you to react to ZUTOMAYO. They are pop rock R&B disco funk jazz band. I wanted to introduce them with the song "DARKEN" live, which was the closing song of their performance and it showcases all the band members in the middle of the song with nice little solos and some weird instruments that you've never heard about.
BAND-MAID new song really slaps. Another TH-cam reactor has isolated the instruments and there are some nasty drum fills by Akane.

@DrumRoast She played piano since three or four. Kanami only listened to calssical music until junior high and was influenced by Chopin. She only started playing guitar in high school...

Good news. Band-Maid employ jazz, hip-hop, rap elements in many of their music. I literally listen to all kinds of music. Enka, city-pop, folk, middle eastern, celtic, latin, Chinese, Korean, Indian, jamaican, classical, rock, metal, punk-core, jazz, blues, edm, grunge and subgenres and fusions.
And I often hear sneaky middle eastern, jazz, blues, Japanese folk, disco elements in their songs - so sneaky that it's easy to miss.
It's just that they never do anything straight. They either bring smile or tears to your face.

I've been watching your drum covers since Akane, so I'm happy that you decided to watch a regular MV. It's odd for fans of great music not to tear up at Band-Maid songs. The songs and arrangements just get to your emotions. The other thing that you will realise, is that Akane is among equals in this band, as they are all excellent musicians. The guitars- basic descriptions. Kanami- lead guitar. She recently got awarded her own PRS Signature model and this is it. Miku- Rhythm Guitar and Backing vocals. Plays a signature Zemaitis guitar and Misa- Bass. Plays Black Cloud basses in various designs, but this is her recent model, Jaguar (Fender style) bass. She also has a Signature Black Smoker all black bass. I/We really appreciate you doing this reaction- You may consider yourself a Maidiac now. My best band line up would be a rock band with a jazz rhythm section. Thanks (UK) Don't underate your self- 2,000 views in 12 hours can't be bad.

You have found, re-found, I take it, the best band in the world. And as you will hear, live is even better than the MV's as impossible as that sounds. Yes this song is a masterpiece but I can throw over 100 songs at you from them that will show you this is pretty much Band Maid, they always hit, with these anime songs, with ballads, with every genre of rock packed into 10 years of excellence.
You WILL cry real tears if you listen to certain songs like Daydreaming, About Us, etc

There is a guitar-only riff at the end of the anime PV and anime OP that is not in the original song. It made me tear up.
This office-like place is the studio of the anime production company MAPPA, and was used because the story of the anime is a fantasy with the anime creator as the main character.

Kanami (lead guitar) used to play a matched stack with a Mesa Boogie triple rectifier, but has that Bogner head now. Misa (lead bass) used to play with an Orange amp.
Akane has a lot of sick fills. She tricked me into not paying attention to her by just going into half time after the guitar solo, in the last chorus, and you get swept up in the vocals in that lull, but she revs up and goes 🍌🦍 mode immediately after. I just completely missed it on my first listen.
Ultimately, that’s the magic of Band-Maid. Every member is stealing your attention from every other member, because everyone is doing something interesting, but they always find a way to make it be cohesive.
the half time really prepared for me the next section, I was just overwhelmed and wanted it to cut the reaction at 20 min 🤣GREAT insights into her drumming!!! THANK YOU

You should give "Start Over" a listen to understand how versatile a band they are. It's more of a funky, jazzy pop feeling and one of my favorites from them. Enjoyed the reaction!

Rhythm guitar uses the EVH cab and head. Sometimes she'll use a Peavey on tour. The lead guitar uses a Bogner head with a Mesa cab.

Brother, i recommend you watch the documentary about the Maids. They are released in about half hour segments for each of our girls. You really get to know each of them individually. Might help you understand why the Maids are so loved.

Hello, DrumRoast. I know that you generally don't react to MVs or bands but only to drummers. Also, thank you for doing this exceptionally for the new Band-Maid song, Zen. This band is not a metal band, IMO. He can play heavy songs but he is skilled at mixing genres of rock and other music such as Jazz or Funk and other genres. About Akane, she did a solo in 2023 at Yokohama Arena that someone posted online, so it's not an official live. But you will be able to see our smiling drummer gorilla show all her talent for almost 3 minutes. Awesome. Thanks
