    If I converted to 12volt, using 12 volt starter, and want convert the alternators to put out 12v, do I just unhook the negative wire from the driver alternator?

    Gens look to be reading OK. Driver's side is about .2 low, but that doesn't account for over a full volt missing at the batteries. I'd say cable issue/dirty contacts...

      Agreed. Corrosion = resistance. Resistance = less voltage.

      I'll eventually clean up my wiring.
