Bruce Brown's on an expiring contract and those 3 picks aren't gonna be high anyway. The fact that the Pacers didn't have to give up Mathurin, Walker, or Nembhard makes this a great trade for the Pacers. Siakam gives them someone who can keep up and be a finisher in transition as well as guard big wings, something the Pacers didn't have on their defense before. Hell they had Nembhard (6' 3") guarding Markkanen (7' 0") the other night. I think that'll have a solid impact on a defense that doesn't have to be good, just not awful.
Bruce Brown is a Team Opinion... Probably 3 First rounders (Top 6 protection for the Spurs)... Nice role players to help Scottie, RJ & Quickly
I think Siakim will be the catalyst for the Pacers to jump to the next tier of teams in the East, but that leap wont come until next season. They'll likely make the playoffs this year but they'll lose to one of the top teams in the 1st Round because I don't see them finishing 4 or 5, not with how well the Cavs are playing right now. On top of that Siakim wont fix their Defense by himself midseason, they'll finish the season a a god awful Defensive team but they'll be able to build on the experience before next season.
@09lowkey pacers since adjusting their lineup after the clippers game in December have been on pace to be the 13th best defense I'm the league and still the best offense in the league. They've also played the bucks twice, the nuggets, and the celtics twice during that stretch of improvement and all that was before the pacers added siakam.
@@anonymous703 Yeah that's fine & all, but they also just lost to the Blazers, after they got Siakim. Then you gotta ask when's the last time they made the playoffs? Who in their rotation has playoff experience? I'm not saying they're not good now and wont improve as the season progresses but I don't see them making it out of the first round if they get the Bucks, Sixers, Celtics, Knicks, Heat, or Cavs. Next season tho, watch out.

I agree with KG, Toronto doesn't have a good record but you will be in a dogfight with them most games. 10 games under .500 but their point differential is -1.3.
Nembhard does everything Bruce brown does. That’s why he was traded instead of Buddy Heild. Hield can shoot and nobody on the roster can replace that. Nembhard cans do it all and defend at high level

Bruce Brown was not in the long term plans here and lowkey was mid for the Pacers. Less than a handful of great games this season. Pacers nailed this trade. Lost no core pieces
