Have a friend who took a pic with him who says he's 5'4" himself. He was a good two inches taller than Rey. Usually when you want to see how tall a wrestler is, look how tall they are compared to the top rope. Some of the women are up higher next to that than he is. It's come to the point where Rey bounces off the second rope during an irish whip these days, instead of the top rope.
@JustINformU exact same experience. Well I'm not 6'3. But met him at an airport in Calgary, I'm 5'11 but had regular cowboy boots on and was looking down at him. He was jacked though. Super Cena days
@DARK0073GAMING nah Lesnar like 6'2 at most. I live in SE Saskatchewan and run into him maybe a like a dozen times a year for better part of a decade now
Hulk Hogan said that he was a legit 7 back in the 80's and rejected an offer to join the Lakers because he didn't want to take all the attention away from Kareem and Magic.
Jericho is one of my all time favorites, but I'm 6'4 and I met the guy in a bar and he's not 5'10 or anything like that. That 5'8 rumor might be true. He actually kind of struck me as even shorter than that, but maybe just because I was surprised in general that he was so much shorter than I would've expected. I just remember reaching down to give him that friendly slap on the shoulder when I shook his hand. That's a credit to him though. He first got big in the business during a time when being a giant was still so much more important than it is today. His presence was gigantic.
I met Jericho at a signing (at a gas station🤣) in his later WCW days. I'm 5'8" and he was definitely taller then me but not by much at all. Maybe an inch, inch and a half at most.
Jericho is definitely tiny. That's why when he's 15lbs over weight, he looks so fat. He has a pudgy guys fake six pack. I got him at 5'7"....I'm 5'11...a real 5'11, I'm 6'in work boots. My dad is 5'7"and I tower over him in a way that's clearly obvious. 75lbs heavier also, at 235. It's a huge difference.
Coz Triple H was short and they wanted him to be 6'4 and Batista was shorter than Randy as well but he was billed 6'6" in Evolution, Batista was definitely wider than Orton but he was 6'3" max.
Batista wore super thick heels back then to be the tallest in the group. that's what probably caused his knee to give out. and hhh short? In what world is 6ft2 short? Tf @armandoiscurallla
13:31 according to DDP, Mick Foley entered pro wrestling at a legit 6'4" but did so much damage to his back etc that when he started doing DDP Yoga he was 6'1" and over the course of time got back to 6'3". I don't know how accurate that may be but he said that in an interview.

Is there anyone in the wrestling business who is more kind than Stevie Richards? He just hates to say a negative thing about people. I love hearing all the dirt but I really love how nice Stevie is.
Chris Benoit was 5'9 or 5'8. They were billing him at 5'11 when he was the top guy but he was always billed at 5'10 before that. He also wore lifts so if you're taking that into account, he was 5'8 1/2 or 5'9. He was definitely taller than Eddie
Who gives a shit? Benoit was a badass who carried himself taller than he really was. He was believable against the bigger guys because of his build. He wasn't the typical "vanilla midget" as Kevin Nash referred to them.
@@Superthedarkskingod I noticed that as well but I think that was just the coroner or whatever being lazy. Chris was 5'9 at best but he was like Rhyno where he was big and blocky. His son said on a Instagram live once that his dad was only about 5'8 or 5'9, 220 pounds.
ther'es a WCW clip of him coming down to the ring and they billed him at 6'1 while comin down to the ring, forgot what the weight was but I remember laughing my ass off.
Randy Orton is deceptively tall from when you see him on tv and in person. He pulled up to a parking space at a restaurant I was leaving and was right next to me. I almost couldn't believe it was him from how much I had to crane my neck but you can't deny seeing Orton. Very distinguishable.
Stevie richards on that jr weed with these heights. no way John cena is anywhere near 6'3, all those fights with the rock and he never noticed the clear height difference?
Spot on with Rhyno . I met him at FTLOW Of Wrestling . He was a little shorter than me ( I'm a flabby 6ft ), but he is built like a tank, and he was wearing flip flops ... seriously, his hands are like soup bowls . Rhyno is one of those wrestlers who doesn't have a confidence issue about being a smaller wrestler . He wears flat footwear, he's built like a unit , and he carries himself like a powerhouse .
Luke Gallows is 6’4”-6’5” and he had to wear boots with big lifts just to almost match Glenn Jacobs’s height when he was the fake Kane, so Glenn is probably at least a legit 6’8”.
I've been near Jericho in person when he stood up at an autograph signing years ago. I give him 5'9"-5'10". But Jericho has always had a big personality that made up for his lack of height. That's why he's been in the business for so many years.
@@stevemelnyk7480Yeah, not in the 6' territory. But he's not as small as people make him.out to be. Just had the misfortune of being next to Batista, Rock and Austin.

It's like when my dad and I were watching WCW one time and Benoit comes out and he starts going oompa loompa doopity doo. Almost never got that out of my head either.

Anecdote about The Rock: I was working at the AMC Kabuki 8 theater in San Francisco in 2003, and they held the premiere of The Rundown. The Rock came in, walked past my ticket-collecting nobody ass. I stand 6'3, and I was eye level with him. I was actually taken aback that he wasn't bigger than I expected. I'm calling 6'3 on The Rock. Could be wrong, he blew past me flanked by a couple... bodyguards? Lackeys? Something. Big dudes, also. But I'm moderately confident in calling 6'3 on The Rock.
Yeah Rock still claims 6’4 and 6’5 and he’s never been that. The wrestling boots has lifts. Anyone can look up pics of him with David Hasselhoff or Conan O’brian and see he his noticeably shorter than both who are a legit 6’4. He’s 6’2.
@@watchreport There are drawbacks to being taller too, though. For example, if you like/prefer women, not sure I'd want to be 6'5"+ as it would be hard to hold hands with your woman etc. Real tall guy/shorter woman couples just look very awkward. Also, in terms of equating height to dick size as I know quite a few people seem to do, look at a guy like Ron Jeremy. He's only 5'4" but women never complained about his penis size. Women should not automatically look at a shorter guy and automatically dismiss us as being small below the belt.
In reality though, unless you want to play pro sports like basketball or football, how tall does a guy really have to be? In wrestling, I don't think it's necessary to be tall unless it's a federation like the WWE who mainly hires tall guys. Same with other sports like soccer and baseball. Men who constantly harp on height and criticize others for being shorter I think prefer to bend over behind closed doors. If that's your thing, I'm not knocking you but just saying.......Some people need to stop harping on height so much.
Backing this stuff up. I am 6'8" and I have a photo of myself with The Rock from way back in January '99, I was 16 at the time. Dude is barely at my chin.
Taker ain’t 6’8” anymore (if he ever was), recent pic of him and Randy backstage talking and they are the exact same height. Both stood directly in front of each other, same distance from the camera, no angles etc. Randy must be 6’5” - 6’6”. If Rock is 6’4 then go back and watch the clip of his and Randy’s interactions back in like 04, Randy is a good 1-2 inches taller.
I literally bumped into Y2J in 2005 at O'Hare airport. I turned around to see who it was, and I was completely shocked to see how short he was compaired to me. Then I saw Viscera behind him, and he was MASSIVE!
Stevie’s not great at this game lmao, Triple H said during Shawn’s hall of fame induction that Shawn is 5’10, and it makes sense considering he was slightly shorter than 6’0 Bret Hart. I’m also around 5’11.5-6’0 and absolutely towered over “5’11” AJ Styles. AND, Punk was exactly my height if not slightly shorter. Love you Stevie! But your height perception is messed up lmao.
something that probably doesnt help with john cena's height is that he's wrestled in sneakers since like 2003 so he doesn't get as much of a height boost as the rest of the guys in boots.
That is what I would have guessed, particularly when he used to wear the wrestling shoes under his kick pads. I never met AJ Styles, which I wish I would have, but I have been around Jeremy Borash many many times, and they are virtually the same height. AJ probably only weighed about 175 pounds tops during arguably his best early run inTNA, and he was still Phenomenal. Anybody who can put a Torture Rack on Abyss and also do the crazy aerial stuff he did, is a super athlete. For a long time, I actually did believe he was a gymnast, it just seemed realistic.
@@TNAROHfan Maybe in the 02-05 period. As he was a bit skinny back then. But after 05 AJ had to be 180+ As he gained muscle mass but he was fighting the heavyweights so makes sense.. WWF was all about larger than life. Kane was meant to be bigger than Taker, and while Glenn had Mark on weight he was equal to or a bit shorter, so the lifts completed the gimmick.
El Gigante/Gonzales was a legit 7'7. Don't know why WWE felt they needed to exaggerate that, he was insanely tall. He still holds the record for being the tallest wrestler to have worked in either WCW or WWE.
I saw him wrestle live. He was absolutely massive. Like so massive it looked ridiculous when he was walking down the aisle as in difficult to believe a human could be so tall. The entire audience live was stunned.

Not sure if this was called “crew cab” or “extended cab”.. or what.. but Abyss of course didn’t sit back there in that seat lol.. BUT my best friend at the time did.. we were 17 at the time.. taking Abyss to the airport. My friend said his hair smelt like strawberries 😂 oh btw Chris (Abyss) told us his real height was 6’6

He wants Stevie to shoot on heights but he's just kayfabing it. It can be hard to judge height, though. Everyone is built different. Some people have a tall build with high, broad shoulders, some have low shoulders and a big head. There's also a psychological factor. If you expect someone to be taller than they are they can seem shorter and if you expect them to be shorter than they are they can seem taller. You know if someone is around your height or significantly taller or shorter but it can be hard to be totally accurate.

both kane and taker has said on taker's podcast that they are around 6'7, 6'8. but they both are old and retired, so idk if thats with age shrinkage or what. JR has repeatedly said kane was 6'9 on raw back in like 07, 08. but even around 97-00 if u look at kane's boots u can tell they have lifts
Taker said he was 6ft8 back when he was trying to break into WWE on his podcast when he tells the story about calling Stu Hart on the phone when Stu asked how tall he was, taker said he told Stu he was 6ft8
I recall meeting Hogan in the 80's and later in the very early 2000's. in a large room full of people. Hogan was in his Hollywood gear with boots and was a full head higher than everybody else in the room. I'd say at that time 6'5" or 6:6" in boots was accurate at the time.
Taker told Trump on Six feet under that he's 6'8 and "compressed" from bumps. Either way he's still a very tall guy. *Edit* I'm finishing up the vid and I love you, Stevie. But you're BAD at this! I'm giving Jericho 5'9 at Best. Also, what you said about lifts is very true. Even for everyday use. Lifts tilt you forward in an unnatural position. And if you have a trained eye, you can easily spot men who wear them. Personally, I'd rather just wear shoes with thicker heels on the outside. But those probably aren't practical in the ring. Rhyno always looked taller to me! That one was a shocker. Still watching. But I just wanna say that CM Punk is legitimately whatever height they say he is, and he's deceptively large. I saw a fan pic of him with some guy at the gym, and his frame made him look massive despite not having an impressive physique. His most recent PPV match had him looking the best he's ever looked in his career. And with more time to train he'll probably come back looking even better. Also, there's an old EPSN interview with Coach and The Rock, and Coach actually looked taller than Rock. So I believe Stevie about Coach shrinking himself in WWE.
@butkusfan23 He had a wrestling match in Memphis and he and Sid stood face to face and thwy were both the same height. They arw both or were both around 6'6
Same with Randy Savage. The first time I met Randy Savage at 18, I was surprised at how small he was. He was under six foot in cowboy boots, even though he was usually billed as 6'2". He was jacked as hell though, but I would guess we were pretty close in weight as well. I would guess maybe 220 tops, given the fact I had almost 3 1/2 inches on him in sneakers and had spent all offseason putting on muscle for college on the advice of my future coach and weighed around about 208 and still felt smallish compared to a lot of athletes in that steroid era. It didn't feel small compared to Savage, just less built.
And if you look at videos/pictures and matches, CM Punk was always a little shorter than John Cena. And Cena is a legit 6'0 guy. So I honestly think Punk is 5'11 or 6'0 as well.
I've always taken off 2" as a rule of thumb. Undertaker is often someone who comes up on these lists. It's possible that at one point early on, he was legitimately 6'10". But as time went on, he probably went to about 6'8"-6'7"½. He appears to be forehead to forehead when standing next to Braun Strowman, who is a shoot 6'8" according to his strongman stats.
At wrestlemania, taker was barely bigger than rock. Rock might have had lifts. But during that main event run in they were weirdly close in size to each other

Of course, he is shorter than he really is 😂😂 ever saw his boots he wore lifts.
I think his billed height was before his legs bowed so he was probably about 5'9 during wcw and wwf
Jericho stood next to Ernie Johnson on TNT, and Ernie is 6'1 and Jericho looked like a midget next to him, so he has to be 5'7.
Randy used to be billed 6'4", then i noticed billed at 6'5" at the latter part of career
Coz Triple H was short and they wanted him to be 6'4 and Batista was shorter than Randy as well but he was billed 6'6" in Evolution, Batista was definitely wider than Orton but he was 6'3" max.

Chris Benoit was 5'9 or 5'8. They were billing him at 5'11 when he was the top guy but he was always billed at 5'10 before that. He also wore lifts so if you're taking that into account, he was 5'8 1/2 or 5'9. He was definitely taller than Eddie
Interesting thing is I’ve heard of him being 5’8ish before but his Autopsy bills him as 5’11 which confuses me.

He wants Stevie to shoot on heights but he's just kayfabing it. It can be hard to judge height, though. Everyone is built different. both kane and taker has said on taker's podcast that they are around 6'7, 6'8. but they both are old and retired, so idk if thats with age shrinkage or what.
I saw Big Show in an Airport once, I was like: Wow its him! Then like: Wow not that tall, and then like: Wow he has the biggest hands in the world 😂
I recall meeting Hogan in the 80's and later in the very early 2000's. in a large room full of people. Hogan was in his Hollywood gear with boots and was a full head higher than everybody else in the room. I'd say at that time 6'5" or 6:6" in boots was accurate at the time.
The early Undertaker height was always 6'10½" which really stood out at the time.
So I believe Stevie about Coach shrinking himself in WWE.
hey lmao i’m that guy from the gym. Punk is pretty large compared to the nomad gym goer.
Taker has never been 6'8
@@ptccombatfitness6726I've heard him say on his podcast he was 6'8" or 6'9" when he started out. He looks pretty tall even in random fan photos.
@butkusfan23 He had a wrestling match in Memphis and he and Sid stood face to face and thwy were both the same height. They arw both or were both around 6'6
Nah taker is nowhere near 6'8
More like 6'6 at best
Richard's, Meanie, and Nova once made fun of me for being a Taz fan :P
I always thought my Andre was 7’ at the absolute max
He has stood next to these guys and I haven’t. But he has no idea on hights
1:59 “I will circle the shirt” 😂
Something wrong with Stevie! 😂
There was that bit during (I think) the Invasion, where Vince was talking to Taker, Kane, Angle, Austin and Y2J, and Jericho looked so small.
Angle's not exacrly a giant either although WWF Smackdown 2 had him listed at a laughable 6'2"...
@@ValiantWrestlingHe was billed at 6 ft as a college wrestler. I bet he was about 5'11 before some surgeries.
@@butkusfan23 angle was a legit 5'10 peak. Right now he's most likely in the 5'8-5'9 range.
Jericho looked small against hbk as well
Yall should've had Batista on here
I’m 5-10 + and was face to face with Raven at Halloween Havoc in 98 in Vegas. He is around 5-11.
Cena said himself he's 6"0.
Undertaker is 6'6. He is barely taller than drew mcintrye who is 6'5. In his prime he might be 6'8
Yea 6’8”
Met him a few years ago, was definitely significantly taller than 6’5”
McIntyre's closer to 6'6"
Keep in mind that Drew wears lifts.
No he doesn't lmfao@@terryindachat7296
These "revealed" numbers are worse than a Hogan story. 'Taker was 6'8 and Kane wore 2.5" lifts to get over him.
I'm 6'1.75" and Cena walked past me on his way to the ring. He's maybe 5'11"
Maybe he shrunk
@@DTey22cena is like 5’10. I’ve seen him up close
So that makes cm punk 5'9? Lol foh. Cena is 6ft even@UnRaT3Dx
Rhyno has this super thick body, thick thighs and the hilarious t.rex arms😂
I've always taken off 2" as a rule of thumb. Undertaker is often someone who comes up on these lists. It's possible that at one point early on, he was legitimately 6'10". But as time went on, he probably went to about 6'8"-6'7"½. He appears to be forehead to forehead when standing next to Braun Strowman, who is a shoot 6'8" according to his strongman stats.
Taker himself said he was 6’8”. Sid said he was a hair over 6’6” at peak and Taker was only marginally taller
@Derek70388 Fair enough.
At wrestlemania, taker was barely bigger than rock. Rock might have had lifts. But during that main event run in they were weirdly close in size to each other
@@Meatball2022 Assuming Rocky is a legitimate 6'5", it's feasible that he would be pretty close in stature to Undertaker when he has his boots on.
@ I do remember being surprised at how close they were. If you get a chance see if you can see that moment. Lights came on. He was standing behind Rocky. Then chokeslam.
I trained with a guy who worked in the indies, he told me the rule was add 2inches and 20lbs to your character...
Nash is insanely tall. El Gigante is probably the only one who I can think of who's taller? Gigante/Gonzales was legit 7'7 and still holds the record for being the tallest wrestler to have worked in either WCW or WWE.
Big show was taller than Nash as was Khali, Kurgan, Omos
@@namikstudios check nash's stats in college basketball 80s. 6'10". Dunno if barefoot or in shoes
Kevin Nash was in the ring with Dennis Rodman and they looked the same height. For the record Dennis is/was 6'7".
Just saying.
@@alenahubbard1391 watching the video right now. Rodman was a bit shorter than nash. Rodman had sneakers and nash boots though
