Store 20 x 25 litre water barrels.. Agree with loads of bog roll . For bugging out , carry washable rags instead of bog roll . Get a multimat ice mat self inflating sleep pad .
At 67 years old; I ruck a 20-27 pound pack a thousand miles a year just walking my dog. In my 20's and 30's I walked and backpacked in New England. I would walk 4 miles just to go to work. I would walk 8 miles to visit a friend. I've carried packs into the White Mountains, on the Appalachian Trail, and on New England roads. Here's what I learned. Rucking is a learned skill that takes practice. People that have these packs that never take them on the road will be throwing stuff away after 5 miles and only getting 12 miles the first day. They will ache. They will complain about the food they brought and the stale water. They will learn a spare pair of socks can be more valuable than a fifth bladed tool. My suggestion, if you are going to have a BoB or a GHB practice with it. Hike to a state park campground and spend the night. Do some roadwork, find out how much you can carry for 25 miles of sidewalk or 15 miles of backcountry.

small and respectful suggestion, do not carry things that can be damaged, another smaller water filter (emergency), another fire starter, many things like the chair can be done in the field and you save space, your equipment is quite similar to mine, thank you very much for Share it, I loved it, blessings!
Im not sure if you guys are allowed to have a bow, but if you can, look into a recurve bow. They are a ton of fun to shoot and good for hunting as well. Also, I have a ton of time spent in American combat boots and i would not recommend. I have worn them in snow, forests, swamps, and deserts. They will not keep your feet warm, cool, dry, and the ankle support is sh!t. Find some good hiking boots or shoes.
Great video but let me, respectfully, make a suggestion. You have some nice gear but it is shiney, clean and new. Please get out and use that gear and get familiar with it. Make sure you work those boots in. Love and respect from a northern Ontario bushman

Leave your shite behind and put ten miles behind you. Are you paranoid? Do you really think some "tracker" like Daryl Dixon is going to come along, see which way the points on your poop are pointing and say, "he went that way! go get 'im, boys!"??? Lose the weight. Also, just saw another fellow's bugout bag with a SOLID STEEL Estwing hatchet in it. LOSE IT, man! Yes, they make a durable hatchet. AND............you do not need to carry that much extra weight. Carry a wood-handled one and a foldable saw. Some of the lack of thought that goes into this tells me the ditches are going to be FULL of food for my dogs when we make our bugout hike.
