    I know this is an older video, but I just started sewing and I absolutely lost it when she said “Don’t forget to put the pressure foot down, the machine really doesn’t like it….” I’m so glad that it’s not just a me thing 😂😂 like obviously this person has been sewing for a while and it’s still something she has to remind herself of 😂

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I've been sewing on a machine since I was about 9 I reckon, and I still forget the stupid little things. My other favourite is forgetting that I've not even threaded up the machine till I reach the end of the *really tricky* seam 😂 It's worse when I'm filming because my mind is on what I'm going to do next, not on what I'm doing at the time, c x

    I am making a bunch of these for a dog rescue group and this pattern is PERFECT! We use them for the dogs to wear at adoption events, in colours that match the sweatshirts that volunteers wear. Thanks heaps for a great explanation!

      We foster dogs in Puerto Rico before they fly to NY, NJ, Maine, to be adopted. It's a beautiful experience. I already cut the different size patterns but don't know how long to make the ties for the different sizes

    Thank you so much for this. I'm about to embark (pardon the pun) on making 50 of these for my local shelter in fluro yellow. ADOPT ME + shelter logo will then be printed on. This pattern is perfect and the straps look so classy. I use the pointy end of a chopstick to push through to get a precise "point".

  • @nancy9478

    If you want an easy way to add the pompom trim, pin it to the right side of one fabric, with the pom part facing away from the edge. Baste it in place. Place the second piece of fabric right side together and pin in place, sew the bottoms of the triangle together. Leave the trim a bit short at the top so you can turn the edges in like in the tutorial. It may take some practice to do, sewing is like that. Happy sewing!

      Thank you, glad you liked it. We wont reflim the video now but a pompom border is easily attached with a line of small running stitch. Simply pin the braid 5mm up from the hem and ensure you turn under about 1cm at the end of the trim to prevent it fraying, c x
