CROSSING the US-MEXICO BORDER: The Road to San Felipe | RV Baja Roadtrip Episode #1

Today's the day we cross the US- Mexico Border for 5 months! This year we try crossing at Mexicali East (or Mexicali II) and make sure to get our FMM cards stamped once we do. Then we head to San Felipe for a few nights before venturing further south.

Two questions: Where do I get FMM cards? What type of GPS is that on your dash? (looks like a fun trip. Just subscribed.

We filled them out online then printed them out to expedite the stamp process at the border👍🏽 The screen on the dash is a rear camera for the camper, we use our cell phones for gps. Thanks for the support😎

Yes, it was great in the 90's, but we stopped going about 2011 or so, poorly run and maintained .@@weekdayadventures

Great video. I bought my FMM cards online. You still have to get them stamped even if you buy them online.

When getting your FMM cards stamped at the border, did each of you need to go into the office to do that or could one person do it for both? Great videos BTW!

Yes we both had to go in. They let us park the truck and trailer in the inspection area while we went inside for the stamp👍🏽 thanks!!

Hey there, thanks for uploading the video! I have a few questions. Do you need a FMM if you’re staying for 10/12 days? What papers do you need to cross over to Mexico and what papers do you need to come back to the US?

Thanks for watching!! You need an FMM if you’re staying for more than 5 days I believe. Only need your passport and FMM card for yourself and if you are driving you’ll need registration and Mexican insurance👍🏽

To be perfectly honest I don’t remember but I should imagine there would be given that it’s a government building. You could probably ask on “Talk Baja” on Facebook, there are a lot of people who will know better👍🏽
